Move over Von Bismark, there's a new spatzle in town! We had to try this Austrian inspired restaurant located in the former location of the Summit Noble Pie and let me tell you, there was absolutely no regrets over our choice.

First off, the staff is incredible from the phone to the table. We called in a reservation and they were so nice with our initial request and follow up. Our server was Ari and she was as attentive as any server can be, visiting our table frequently even though the restaurant was very busy. We didn't see anyone lacking for service in fact. They are all a well oiled machine.

The ambiance is a little Swiss Alps and very Austrian. It feels nice to be there like you really are somewhere else. We all tried different dishes and drinks. My friends started off with an Edelweiss Mule and a martini which they both loved (and can't wait to go back!). I ordered garlic knots for the table but I had wished after the first bite that I wasn't sharing. These aren't just balls of bread covered in garlic, there soft, twists of bread saturated in a yummy garlic butter, with soft tiny shred of cheeses over the top and a homemade marinara that had a fresh and unique taste. One friend took the extra marinara home because no one wanted to waste it and she wants to deconstruct it's unique flavor.

Every bite was fresh and tasty.

Our entrees were AustrIan Potato Salad, Austrian Goulash, Wild Mushroom Sand Dabs, Käsespätzle and Swiss Asparagus. The Spätzle had an incredible flavor, cooked well and a little firm (not mushy). My friends didn't describe their food too much but thats because they were too busy chowing down. My fish was tender, fresh and flavorful with the tiniest little mushrooms, fresh asparagus and did I mention the amazing Spätzle? Ari and the kitchen were great with accommodating my dietary restrictions (not a pepper in sight!).

I also tasted the Goulash which I'm absolutely having when I can have it again and the potato salad, which is sliced potatoes in a light vinegar with a fresh dill flavor. The potatoes were tender but not mushy. If you like that flavor, you'll love it!

Of course we had to have dessert and choosing what to have proved to be a little difficult because they all sounded good. Half the table got the apple strudel, which was gone before I was back from the bathroom. I shared the Sacher Torte which has a delicious ganache topping, cake that is a little like carrot cake without the carrots, raisins and nuts and an apricot filling. The whipped cream is clearly made fresh and our entire meal was a demonstration in how good food can be when you don't choose "cheap" ingredients. The quality of everything was exquisite.

My only "complaint" is that the torte could have a bit more apricot filling as it was tasty but thin and a bit overpowered by the other flavors.

Finally, as we were leaving we met the owner Monica and it's easy to see why this place is so wonderful. She got a picture of us for their Instagram (we were movie bounding for Wicked). If you want great food, great people and great service, check out Edelweiss.

I know that we were already planning to return before we even left and that's...

Tonight was my partner and I’s first time dining at Edelweiss. We were really excited as we both enjoy German and Austrian fair, and I’ve heard from a couple of colleagues that it’s worth going to try. We walked in and were immediately immersed: the gorgeous custom wallpaper, the smell of the flowers, and the sound of traditional Austrian music. Think less “Sound of Music” and more “Eurovision.”

We were seated promptly, and given our choice of tables. We chose to sit at a booth near their outdoor patio. The faux fur throw on the seat made the bench a lot more comfortable. Our server, Serena, greeted us eagerly and was very personable and attentive.

I chose a locally sourced beer that would pair well with our meal, a Schüssboom Heweifezen. The Potato Salad was my favorite, a European twist on this staple American classic with thinly sliced potatoes drizzled in dressing with pickled onions. Our appetizer came out quickly, followed appropriately by our entrees once we’d finished with the potato salad, a very reasonable turn around time to enhance the relaxed atmosphere. My partner ordered the schnitzel and his only complaint to an otherwise textbook dish was he wanted a dipping sauce, such as curry ketchup, to accompany the shoestring fries. I ordered the Honey Bear pizza, and the spicy peppers balanced the creaminess of the cheese and the sweetness of the honey beautifully. We also took another pizza to take home to my mother, who wanted to join us and couldn’t She requested Der Waldpilz and asked that they add chicken, which our server happily said wouldn’t be a problem. We got all the way home and sadly found out it was forgotten.

We ordered two desserts to bring home: the apple strudel and the chocolate torte. The apple strudel was clearly the winner of the two, moist and flavorful, well seasoned with crisp pastry and tender apples. The chocolate torte, while delicious and well made was very sweet. I say that as a former pastry chef who has a high tolerance for sweet things. Definitely need to try that with an espresso.

The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, and the rest of the staff was very friendly and amicable. I did notice they were lacking a host or busser who could help service on the floor preparing tables, clearing dishes, and directing guests to ready tables, as well as running food.

Additionally, while the service was good and the food was pleasant, we found the ticket cost to be a touch expensive. While the portions were good, the individual plate cost was a bit high. For ~$25 we anticipated an American sized portion, and while my partner and I did share our entrees, we were left gently underwhelmed.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience and we’d love to come back. We see there’s room for growth and that the restaurant is a labor of love for the family that runs it. Be prepared for a more casual atmosphere, and remember all small business...

My friend Paige and I were looking for a place to eat after we did some shopping and liked what we saw online! We stopped in and were immediately in love with the atmosphere. Fun wallpaper, a full bar and all around a very inviting place to be. We were greeted immediately and offered any table we wanted to sit at. Our waitress (who's name is evading me) was very attentive and gave us some pointers on what was popular there, since it was our first time. We decided to order the honey bear pizza, and it was soooo good. Would 100% go back just for that. I also ordered a bloody Mary, which came with a lime, olive and large piece of candied bacon; I could have drank them all afternoon! Paige ordered an affogato and said it was the best affogato she's ever had. I had never had one before, but tried hers and also fell in love with it. The music they were playing was full of vibey hits; we sang almost every song! Overall, a very pleasant experience, and they told us they have live music on Friday nights! We...
