I hesitate to ever write negative reviews, especially for small businesses but I feel this is one of those times I have to. I went here to purchase ammo as a gift, I married a range lover, though I must admit I personally know nothing about this world. The woman at the entrance was very amicable as I told her my situation and she told me a rough idea of what I needed and advised me to the back counter where I would be helped further. After a short browse as I waited a large black bearded man approached the register and asked me if I needed something. I advised I needed ammo for X caliber. He, surprisingly was visibly annoyed with me, and asked me a detailed question. I, obviously not knowing, apologized and advised I didnāt know. I said I was sorry and would go find out and return. He asked me a question that would help him sniff out the type (though it was not friendly in nature at all, I assure you) and he then told me what I needed. He grabbed three separate little boxes and placed them on the counter and just stared at me. I asked him if there was a difference and he said āof course thereās a difference thatās why they are in different boxes.ā I cannot fully explain to you the condensation here, to the point I just asked point blank why he was so angry. He advised he wasnāt to which I replied that he has had an attitude with me ever since he approached me. I told him that I didnāt know what I was doing and I was asking for his professional opinion. He didnāt respond so I chose the middle box before me which he grabbed and began to walk to the register with. Half way there I decided I did not want to purchase from this man and told him never mind. I did tell him that he was being mean for no reason and to have a merry Christmas as I exited. He yelled you too before yelling āthanks for closing the door, weāre you raised in a barn!?ā I looked back and the door had not closed behind me. I asked him if he was born in a barn for his horrid attitude and behavior. Iāll admit I assumed the door closed behind me as it did on my arrival but I guess it stuck, either way I am sorry about the door, it wasnāt malicious but heāll always be a rude person.
I know a lot of people come on here and complain as if they are innocent and are generally unfair, I myself can be guilty of this sometimes but not this time. This time I was honestly in a great mood out Christmas shopping for the person I love the most and am excited because we both know that this gift is outside my comfort zone since I know NOTHING about this world. Even in the midst of this altercation I surprisingly kept my cool, probably due to the great mood I was previously in, and my questions were very to the point. Why was he angry, why did my mere existence seem to irritate him? Iāll tell you he is doing the second amendment no favors with the way he treats people...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter reading some of the negative reviews from what appear to be self-entitled ācustomersā I had to give Pintos and the staff a good review. Pintos is not Nordstrom and if you expect Nordstrom type customer service then youāre out of luck, go to one of the big box firearm retailers where you will get fake friendly service. Pintos treatment of customers is no different than other small firearm retail shops, you have to understand that they are the store security and the only interface between deadly weapons and inexperienced buyers and crazies that can walk in off the street, I want them to be serious and follow the law to the letter. Iāve seen firsthand how they professionally treat inexperienced buyers and a crazy person who expected to buy a handgun. Iāve also seen how rude self-entitled customers have been towards the staff, if I worked there, I would not put up with rude customers either. I mainly go to Pintos to purchase reloading supplies; they are the best in this liberal hive we live in. Iāve never used Pintos as an FFL or purchased a firearm from them, there have been firearms I was interested in but when I went back, they were sold. I donāt like using retailers as an FFL, its too dangerous for my wallet because as I wait for service and the background check I always find something else I want to buy in the store. Pintos has a great reloading and ammo inventory with great prices as well, they donāt gouge you. Try shopping around for ammo at some of the other stores in Bellevue, you will discover how good Pintos prices are. Pintos please donāt change, but please get some primers in, Iām...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI chose to use Pintos for a special order pistol because they are local Renton business. When it came in they called me and I came down and started the paper work for the background check. After waiting 10 business days without word, I called to inquire about the status and spoke with Brian. He said still no word. I asked him about RCW 9.41.092 and asked why they couldnāt issue the firearm after a ten business day wait as it states in the RCW. Brian became agitated and told me he didnāt care what the RCW said, and they would call me when they hear something and promptly hung up. I waited another 7 business days and called back to check in on the status. Unfortunately Brian answered again. He was so angry that I called to check my status again he told me he was so tired of people calling and asking about their background check status and that he gets at least 30 of these inquiries a day. He then said we will call you when we hear something and hung up on me! I called back immediately to try and speak with a manager and Brian answered again. I asked to speak to his manager and he said āI am the managerā! I asked him ā and thatās how you treat a customerā? He then said maybe you need to find a different gun store! Worst customer service I have ever encountered! I only wish that I would have read some of the other 1 star reviews before buying two pistols from them. Brian is quoted in another review telling the customer āmaybe you need to find a different gun storeā and hanging on that...
