This was my first visit here and this store is humongous. I noticed how clean it was and how well stocked it was and I didn't have to squeeze by people stocking or crates of merchandise needing to be stocked. The best experience I had was when I asked one of the men working in the produce department how to select a mango then an avocado then another gentleman on how to select a pink grapefruit. They were friendly knowledgeable and had a willingness to educate me and before it was over several other customers. They made shopping a pleasurable experience. There are two major grocery retailers near me but I will be back to this list location again to see if this was a fluke or is it like this at the time. Every time I walk into Pete’s, I end up asking myself the same question — why do I keep coming back?
I don’t know why I go in there and spend my money just to be treated like my business doesn’t matter. The staff moves slow, no one seems to care, and the energy just makes you feel like you shouldn’t have shown up in the first place.
It’s a shame, because I actually want to support the place — but when you treat customers like an inconvenience, eventually they stop showing up.
Sometimes it’s not the prices that drive people away… it’s the people. 👎
