Taco salad does not include meat...Received my bill everything was Ala Carter $ 2.00 for chicken or meat in the tacos and salads. Prices were drastically different from prices listed on the menu. When the waitress was questioned after the bill arrived, I was told she adjusted some items and I hadn't received what I ordered because she bought me out the most reasonable entree ( without suggesting or getting approval to switch my food choice). Food was mediocre & lack flavor. Since I don't see an option to reply to such an unprofessional response I will edit my review. I m not sure if you confused customers reading thru your reply. Our family had 2 take out containers with our leftovers because my daughter only ate 1 of the 3 Tacos included in her Taco dinner ( which still didn't get ate) & I ate half my Taco salad & left 1/2 on my plate. The remaining food was given to our dogs. AND even if I did eat all my food ( which we didnt). I said mediocre not "Inedible" I could have prepared more authentic mexican meal at home. But if I paid for it I have a RIGHT to consume 0 to 100% of it.. Correct? Now about etiquette. I m reserved & professional in both my business & personal life so "Loudest one in the room" this statement disclosed to me your establishment has had several unsatisfied / disappointed customers somuch so the writer of the reply must have confused whom you serviced. My concerns were expressed VERY discretely. I apologize if you are offended by customers expressing concerns and monitoring surprised overcharged meals when they receive their receipt. I will never understand what makes a Taco Salad a Taco Salad & it doesn't contain any type of Taco seasoned meat. Nice reply, but it still doesn't change the fact WE were not impressed. Poor management & public relations handling. It s a NEVER AGAIN for me. There was a reply posted by the establishment which may be taken down after this post & reply combination. Hope everyone's experience will be better than mine if you decide to...
Read moreThe burrito had more beans than meat…and the meat itself wasn’t all that flavorful. It wasn’t terrible…but I won’t be dining here again.
GAVE A SECOND TRY …this time dining in. I went with a group of friends hoping the experience would be better. It was not. First, if you like Paloma’s…don’t get them here. They clearly use Squirt and…I’m really thinking a margarita mix based on the color and taste. It was definitely more margarita than Paloma. The waitress was…not on her A game. She messed up several plates…to which we didn’t complain because it just wasn’t worth it…but it was noticed. The food. While my first experience was with not flavorful meat…this time the meat was uncomfortably and distractingly spicy. I did not expect that getting enchiladas with red sauce would have my nose running. I couldn’t taste anything because my tastebuds were blown with spice. Not flavorful spicy…just spicy. Quite a bit of the rice was undercooked as well.
When we eventually got the checks (which took forever) I noticed 18% was already added. This isn’t completely unusual for a group of six, but I have heard it goes on all checks. This explains the somewhat lackluster wait staff. I have a hard fast rule about this. Normally I tip between 22-25%….more for exceptional service. However, when you add the gratuity and don’t mention you did and then have the tip percentages listen below with tax AND that 18% included in the math… you get nothing more.
I don’t take kindly to business that try to cheat customers like that. And you may say that is not the waitress’s call. That’s correct. But…they can certainly alert someone when the check arrives that the gratuity has already been included, so only tip on top of that if you’d like to. Saying that would have gotten her at...
Read moreBesides the fact that I waited almost 30 minutes at a table before anyone ever approached me is insane. I waited at the table for about 20 minutes, then two other women came in behind me. Those women were approached first and they were able to put their orders in before I was. I had to literally find my waiter for help.
I came in last week with my friend for lunch. I ordered two quesa birria tacos, and one shrimp taco. I ate my shrimp taco first and I loved it. Once I began to eat the birria tacos, I did not like the flavor so I asked if I could exchange my third taco for another shrimp taco. I was willing to finish eating the birria taco that I had already taken a bite out of. My waiter told me that I could NOT trade my taco. I asked why not if I didn’t want it. He then said he’d go ask the manager. The waiter came back and told me that I could not exchange my third taco (per his manager). He said if I wanted another shrimp taco that I would have to simply order another one. Never have I ever had that happen to me. I’ve eaten at several different restaurants (even steak houses), and if there is ever anything you don’t like they have NO PROBLEM with replacing it, or simply take it back. I’ve even had some places replace the item and not even charge me for it. I have never heard of this. It’s a taco. I was so annoyed and I told the waiter that was okay (meaning never mind)….the man came back 5 minutes later with ANOTHER shrimp taco!! Clearly, he misunderstood what I meant when I said that was okay. So now I’m forced to pay for this extra taco and I still have the one I did not want. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that she was busy. I have been here before with no problems. This time...
