Poor initial service, and slow uncareful initial service. Kind of expensive for less than professional initial service.
Fast follow up after first horrible service.
The managers I talked with is the only saving grace. p
The managers at the store were professional and did a great job which is the reason I would rate my experience as a 2. I dropped my laptop off because the fan was wearing out and I was worried it would break and overheat on me during my final's week.
I really needed my computer for my online classes and final papers. I brought it in to make sure it would be ok. I made an appointment to have the shop look at it and dropped it off with them.
I left the computer with them and didn't hear anything back from them and needed it for classes, so I called each morning for a week hoping to get the laptop back. The initial staff I spoke with that week always seemed unrushed and annoyed that I was calling to see when they would be getting to my laptop.
Three days later they told me they found the problem and that the fan had to be replaced which is why I brought it to the shop in the first place. They told me they needed to order a fan, and it would take 3 days. I needed the laptop for classes and asked if I could have it back while waiting for the fan to arrive.
They told me I could but would have to pay half of the cost upfront. I paid half upfront and picked up my laptop. When I got home the front case was not attached properly and I started the computer up. The computer booted to the password screen and windows would not load. I brought the laptop back the following day and showed them the issues I was having.
They took the laptop back and told me they would work on it. I called to check in daily for the next week when they told me they could not figure out what was wrong and that "windows sometimes does this." They ultimately had to reinstall windows and were able to save a lot of my older data, but my new papers and schoolwork was lost.
I was concerned bringing it back to them to fix the fan when it came in but as a poor nursing student I couldn't afford to eat the deposit, so I gave it another chance since once their managers took over my case, they had been polite. They installed the fans and returned to me...
Read moreThis review is about my cracked screen for my Samsung Fold phone. I filed a claim and the nearest location for Minneapolis was Richfield on Lyndale Avenue. Now I know what you are thinking, I didn't have a choice of locations. I did. Three years ago for a different phone they took care of me.
With that said, I am happy to say this was my second satisfied experience. This location is north of HYW494 in a court of shops, businesses, and restaurants on Lyndale Avenue.
My phone is complicated so normally these questions are asked. Did you drop your phone? No. Was it dropped in a liquid? No. Was there anything you did to break your phone? No. It was simple, my screen cracked about 1 inch from the bottom of the fold of the phone. After filing my claim and taking it to be fixed, the uBreakiFix team confirmed the status of my phone and said this would be taken care of.
I know this was a long-winded story to make sure John and Christian (uBreakiFix Experts) are taken care of. Because of them, my experience was spectacular. They were kind, patient, thorough, experienced, etc. Also, they sent me a personal text with the status of my phone and when it was fixed. When I arrived to pick up my phone, they were happy to see me and explained what they did to fix my screen. I know this sounds unreal. Why would they show so much care? I don't know. I challenge you to find out. See if they treat you as well as they treated me. Thanks, John and Christian!

Read moreWord of advice, avoid uBreakiFix for two main reasons: 1) they're unresponsive and 2) they lie.
Unresponsiveness: Phone was brought in for a repair (it refused to turn on). Phone was left on a Sunday, but after no communication for over a week a subsequent call to the store identified that they had completely ignored the job and didn't even put it in their job queue. Then, after waiting nearly another week for a response, a subsequent call revealed that they had tried the repair the next day, but had not contacted us about the status of the phone.
Which brings us to "They Lie".
During that call they said they tried replacing the battery and that did not work (not unexpected, it was pretty clearly not a battery problem since the phone had been working with a complete charge moments before it powered off for good). They then informed us that the warranty repair had been refused by Google and they couldn't fix it anyway. Except it had been, that is why I went to their store - because Google told me to. So now we've been out a phone for two weeks due to their sitting on their laurels and then stating that they couldn't fix it due to their lie about it being out of warranty.
And so we sent the phone into Google through their warranty repair service. They sent me a box next-day, which I returned to them. I had a working phone under warranty repair in my hands less than a week later.
I will never use this store, and I suggest you...
