Culver’s is always good, and this location did not disappoint. The burgers were good and the chicken was good as well. Very crispy. The fries were hot and the drinks were very carbonated (just how I like them). I tried the root beer for the first time and I recommend it to all looking for a sweet root beer. The employees were very attentive and friendly, and they were also very helpful when we needed things. I knocked this location down a star because of the area. It seems kind of suspicious to me, and the people here are kind of “nuts.” My first occurrence (keep in mine both were within 5 minutes) was in the parking lot. I was parked in the main lot, and a very allegedly high man was talking to a passenger in the car to the left of mine. No problem, right? That was until he made me want to lock my doors and drive to the opposite side of the parking lot (literally happened). He did a weird dance in front of my window and wouldn’t stop. He was smoking some kind of cigarette, can’t really tell if it was marijuana, but he was blowing the smoke at my window. He kept doing the dance as I hastily pulled away, and seemed to be laughing in a weird way the whole time. He left me alone after that, but continued doing weird dances to other cars. He is pictured below, and if you see him, I suggest you pull away. When I pulled away, I stopped in a spot near the bus stop. There was a woman there, either allegedly high or mentally ill, arguing with a shopping cart (pictured below). I checked and she was not on the phone and she didn’t have headphones in. I genuinely don’t know what was going on with that one, but I probably would choose a different...
Read moreThis location is always quite busy...no matter the time of day...especially the drive-thru lane. The drive-thru set-up there is kind of wonky as the restaurant shares the parking lot with a hotel. It's a sort of creative cluster that snakes around the lot. It works...just weird. Haha! We usually go in...even if getting our food to go. We never wait more than a few minutes. We also enjoy dining inside. The lay-out of the dining room is very smart...several different types of separate seating sections available. There is even a fireplace near the back. Service here is always top-notch. Every employee you encounter is smiling...and...welcoming. The food is uber fresh...never had anything that tasted like it was stale...or...prepared incorrectly. The french fries are SO GOOD! The owners of this location are also very active in our local community. I have seen them at several neighborhood events offering up free scoops to all. There's much to be said about that. On our most recent visit the other day...we got both the classic Turtle sundae...and...a scoop of the flavor of the day: Andes Mint Avalanche...to share. Both were delicious. Also...never had a bad bite of frozen custard here either. ;) We will always support this...
Read moreI had quite the experience at Culver's today and I'm here to share it with you.
“And... could I get a large fry with that?”
“I’m sorry, what?” the cashier said choking on his breath.
“A large fry.”
The cashier’s hand began to tremble. As he motioned to select the “large” button on the monitor, he could feel a tear roll down his eye.
“Sir, that’s... um... that’s a lot of fries,” he replied, his voice quivered. He was feeling lightheaded. He could barely think straight. He wanted to vomit.
“That’s ok" I said, chuckling to myself, "I know about fries and the Carbonaro Effect." I was too busy looking up at the menu to notice that the cashier was turning red.
“I just can’t ... I uhh... oh God...”
“Oh wait, actually make that a small please! Sorry looks like I’m a few dollars short.”
The cashier looked back in with a blank stare. Sweat pouring down his face. He wiped his brow once and returned to the cash register.
“What's the Carbonaro Effect?"
With a smirk on my face, I said, "The Carbonaro Effect is the name of a hidden camera magic TV show, like the one you are...
