They don’t have prices on anything. Whatever you bring to the counter they just look up on eBay and add $5-10. If it’s priced they say “oh that’s not our stickers”
The game I wanted was on original Xbox and had ripped up stickers all over it. It’s also $8 all over eBay in good condition, but you Google it at the counter and decide you want $10 for your messed up copy? What? Then when I say it’s an $8 game in good condition you say “I don’t need your $10” and “go buy it on eBay then” Nice customer service skills
If you want to sell for eBay prices, go sell on eBay and pay the shipping and 14% service fee. This wasn’t the owner, it was some girl he had running the counter who was just back there gossiping with her friend the whole time (probably his daughter) Owner has been reasonable in the past and would have been understanding. He has came to agreements on pricing before, but this girl was just rude.
My recommendation still stands regardless though. Nobody is going to want to shop with you if you just look up everything on eBay and just verbally give a price at the register. Take some time and actually price your inventory. That’s why your shop is always empty and other places like doghouse and the place in Q mart are thriving
I wish I could give zero stars
To the owner. I will gladly agree to remove this review if she wants to apologize to me in person or...
Read moreStore owner buys games from Gamestop's online retro program and sells them at inflated prices, doing "discounts" at checkout to trick you into thinking you have deals when they are still sold well above normal asking value.
When we brought a used USB microphone back that had been malfunctioning, he asked us to return tomorrow for testing, insisting we were being dishonest.
We were told that he would have accepted the return if we simply said we just weren't interested and wanted to purchase something else, but because we said it didn't work, we were going to have to prove it for our reimbursement because he "KNOWS it works". He was very concerned with if other customers heard us returning equipment that allegedly didn't function, and said that from now on he would have to test any games he sold me. A ridiculous statement, he should be testing all these games and peripherals anyway. The owner was also insistent that he hold on to the microphone before the test the next day, I'm sure to either swap it out with another or attempt to repair it before our next visit.
Other game stores would've given us store credit, working or not, and attempted to refurbish the product if it wasn't working rather than hassling us and accusing us of lying, just to save face. Avoid this store, there are better stores selling similar items for better prices and deserve your...
Read moreStopped in there a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about the interaction. I've never felt more uncomfortable in a store before. Was there hours before they closed. From out of town so I seek out game stores when I travel and admittedly go with serious buying intentions, I collect games. That in mind the guy, only one person working assuming the owner, said something like what did I want with a big sigh. Told him I would I was just going to check out what they had but would let him know if I had some questions. Just met with a sigh. I was the only person in the store. After about a min of looking I realized the guy had come and just stood right behind me, just staring at me from about 2 feet away. Wasn't doing anything just walked up stood and stared and didn't move. The look made me so uneasy, it wasn't just an oh this guy is just different, I felt something weird was about to happen. LIke I was somehow in danger. I immediatly followed my gut feeling and just walked out an left the parking lot as quick as I could. Do Not got here!!! I really wanted to have a good experiance but something weird is going on there. I'm not an easly shaken. Going alone really wouldn't be advised. From the very short amount of time I was in there something seemed off about the games too. Some had prices some didn't. It's almost like someone is trying to fake a game...
