Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Richland Township

First let me say...the people were great that worked there. But... The menu does not list the sugar they put in the smoothies. The signs say just the fruit and give the image that there is fruit only in your drink. However, I watched them place sugar in the drink. And had to ask them to make me a new one. When they made me the new one, it had absolutely zero flavor there was so much ice in the drink that it tasted like blue drink without flavor. I certainly would not recommend this place for a smoothie. If you want a real healthy smoothie with great flavor go to Raw Replenish. I will say again the employees were wonderful. I read all the great reviews and even the ones that said there is only fruit in the smoothie. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is like the top smoothie place ever! It really depends on who is making your smoothie… Just like a Starbucks barista. One time this Asian guy made me the best peanut butter paradise smoothie ever. And I always get the same smoothie eveytime. So when you arrive, you know if you’re gonna have a great smoothie or just a good smoothie. Lol. Also, on the app, make sure you choose how much sweetness you want. You can actually get sugar-substitutes, half sugar or full turbinado sugar. The owner likes to keep this place spic-and-span, and the craftsmanship on the inside as far as building materials are top-notch, and the bathrooms are always clean. I am so beyond upset. I went in this evening and ordered 2 acai bowls and 2 oatmeal pudding bowls and the 2 oatmeal pudding bowls tasted completely sour. Whatever the base was, whether the milk or yogurt was spoiled. I was unable to call as by the time I got home and started eating, the store was closed. I am hoping my husband and I don't get any stomach issues over this.
