Market At Ellas — Local services in Richmond Hill

First of all, ellas is gorgeous! No denying their extensive variety of plants and their adorable decor inside the shop. However, this review is based off of my most recent experience buying an indoor plant. I purchased the plant and brought it home. This is not my first time with indoor plants so I knew it would need some time to adjust, therefore I did not repot yet or water (the soil was very moist already). After 3 days, leaves began to have brown spots on them and curl under. Once again, I wanted the plant to have time to adjust so I aerated the soil, but gave it another few days to watch its adjustment. Long story short, the plant had root rot after only 5 days of buying it. When I called the store they said they did not provide any money back or replacement guarantee for diseased/infected plants. Had this been an issue of my own doing, I would completely understand, however it’s clear that the plant had been WAY overwatered before I even reported it. I will not be buying any plants from Ellas ever again, because of this risky policy. Something should be put in place (2 week replacement, half off, etc) with receipt presentation.
