I have gone once sometimes twice per week to Sumo for a few months. The food is decent, but the pricing is almost as high has a regular Sushi restaurant, where the server serves you at the table. At Sumo you order at the cash register, you receive a number to place on your table and the servers bring out the food to you once ready. The last time we went the servers kept taking dishes to the wrong tables, even though numbers were placed visibly on the tables. It happened twice in a 15 minute time frame. The place wasn't even busy at this time. When our dishes were ready the server walked towards us with the plates in his hands and took a sharp turn to walk to a different table. He placed my order in front of a guest. I announced that I don't like how they kept bringing food to the wrong tables and that mine was now placed in front of the wrong guests. The server didn't care much. The other guest who received my order made fun of me when she received her food (she tried to be the cool chick in front of her group of people, I'm happy she had her moment of fame) and the server laughed along with her, not professional and not...
Read moreLive about 10 miles away have ordered from them multiple times for pick up requested extra wasabi with order. Got home order had no wasabi at all took pictures employees proceeded to argue with me that there was wasabi and that I quote” there wasabi is extra spicy” so they only give a little bit for 3 different sushi roles. They insisted that I removed the wasabi what Good would it do for me to remove it then drive all the way back? I asked for some compensation and they basically called me a liar and gave me a cup of wasabi. They also said that you can’t ask for extra wasabi over the phone with I’ve done many times. And they tried to say I’d didnt even place an order tonight good thing I had my receipt and read off my order number. In short terrible customer service and called me a liar over a small spicy ROOT! I never write reviews but for this I made...

Well we just picked up dinner from them and they DRENCHED my 2 sushi rolls with eel sauce and ruined it. It is supposed to have the smallest amount drizzled on top. Now my husband is having to share his food with me because the excess eel sauce is just way too sweet.
I understand if you accidentally mess up an order but when you deliberately do this? Unacceptable! We will be sure to tell others (tourists) in our hotel (who ALWAYS ask for food recommendations in the area) to never come here.
I do have pictures of the food but google won’t allow me to...
