Magdalena's is the most amazing botanica I have ever experienced. The genuine warmth and hospitality you experience from the owners and the staff is something you notice as soon as you open the door. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. This is such a rarity in metaphysical stores. No matter how busy they are, they always have time to stop and help you find what you need. Their spiritual advice is always spot on and delivered with care and integrity. They fix candles by hand for each customer with individual powerful intention. The inventory is HUGE and you can always find what you need. Another unique thing is that they are knowledgeable about every item in the store and only select high quality items from their vendors. Even though the drive from Baltimore can be anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, it's always a wonderful road trip to visit our gifted, magical friends! No matter how far you are away, it's worth...

Everything about this store offers so much more than a shopping experience. It’s a life experience. I cannot begin to express how good I felt immediately walking into such a sacred space. I left feeling so ready to take on my obstacles. I only realized now that I had such a good time I didn’t get the owners’ names. However I can tell this family poured so much love into this business. I will be back. I’m a creature of habit so I likely won’t go anywhere else unless spirit calls me to. Thank you a million times thank you. I for once don’t feel crazy. I have practiced for the last 13 years. I was so excited to hear that a BIPOC-Owned botanica was opening in RVA. I found so many products that I have NEVER been able to find in Richmond or even Virginia. I hesitate to buy certain products online, as I would rather support a local business. The shop itself is clean and organized. The 2 folx (who I always assume are the owners) are INCREDIBLY kind every time I have visited. The energy of the space is beautiful, the products are rare for the area, and they have something for everyone! T-shirts, pipes, books, herbs, 7 day candles of ALL kinds...I could spend all my money there! What really made a great impression is when they offered to dress my 7day candle for free.
