I stumbled across Outside the Box one day while walking down N. 25th Street in Church Hill. The storefront was so inviting, I couldn’t resist wandering in — and I’m so glad I did! Inside, I found a treasure trove of unique items, many of which I’d never seen anywhere else.

This shop truly has everything — from party lights and snacks to jewelry, greeting cards, umbrellas, sunglasses, drink mixes, party favors, soaps, candles, local honey, and more. There’s something for everyone: kids’ items, kitchen accessories, planters galore, books, puzzles — the list goes on!

Mark, the owner, is super friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to help you find just the right thing. The shop is also dog-friendly — so bring your furry friend, meet his sweet Shiba Inu Dexter, and grab a doggy treat for your best bud! 🐾

My husband and I visited Richmond this past weekend to spend some time with relatives. We happened upon this store with so many unique items in the window, we just had to go in. We were there for 1.5 hours and didn't see all of it, but all three of us left with a bag of unique products we'd never seen.
