Paper Tiger — Local services in Richmond

First time in this store and here is my overall impression. (I am from St. Louis and currently in Richmond for a while on business so had to check the store out). I was greeted when I walked in and asked if I needed help with anything which is always great when going into a store! The staff were friendly and helpful but also will not go out of their way for you. (At least in my experience). I was wanting some bulk Pokémon cards to complete a master set (at my local card shop I go to, if the store is not extremely busy (which this store was practically empty inside) they will help you look through the bulk for what you need). It would be nice to feel like employees are willing to go above and beyond for customers. The bulk was also not organized very well. There were random bulk cards in the boxes that were not even on the label on the outside. And also cards were just randomly in there from an entire series. So if you are looking for a specific card from a certain set in that series good luck. It would not take the store that long to organize bulk for a more pleasant buying experience. Overall their prices were fair. They use TCG player so cannot complain too much.

Also the Pokémon singles were in perfect fit penny sleeves. Which normally increases the chance of them to get ruined being put into the sleeve and taken out of the sleeve. I would recommend them investing in better binders and normal penny sleeves to sell singles out of.

I would have loved to of seen a bigger selection of slabs and higher end cards but that is usually a problem at a lot...

Went in there today for the first time. I live like 8 minutes up the road from this place, but I don't ever drive down that way so I never knew this place existed until fairly recently. Staff didn't greet or say hi when I entered (I waved silently and someone behind the counter just gave me a strange look...), or say anything to me while I was browsing, so I'm not really sure what that was about.

But I got a good look around the shop, which is far more stocked than the website made it appear. They had a small manga section, and a MASSIVE POP figure selection to choose from, which are really the only things I'd go back for. I didn't browse through it, but their comic collection seemed well stocked, and their card selection was really tempting (I don't play YGO anymore, but it was so hard not to go nuts over what they had) Overall good vibes, well decorated, and the staff seemed friendly to the other people that...

If I am being honest, I really regret finding out about this place. For some reason, every time I drive by I get an urge to stop by and browse. Unfortunately I pass by the shop regularly.

They have a wide variety of inventory ranging from comics to trading cards. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you have any questions or want help building a MTG deck, the staff is always available.

I think they have standing event nights and it can definitely get pretty packed in the evenings and weekends.

The only negative I can comment on is the parking. It is very limited and if there is an event going on, then it can be difficult to find a spot.
