we rented out the Richmond Skate Center & Recreational Building and overall had a amazing time when we entered I was told we can “request songs” and “select from there playlist” everyone was having a great time given the floor was difficult to skate on due to being dirty or sticky idk I’m not floor people. We had set a playlist (Barbie) and requested 2 songs (cha cha slide, and a slow skate song) when my kid was told we was “out of skips” I said there was nothing like this mentioned in our contract so I told them to go request our last song as skaters come in to do cake and gifts “girls just wanna have fun!” As the song was ending a young adult approaches me to tell me that she can’t keep running back and forth to the do booth and if we wanted to plug up our phone we can I said “ok I didn’t see that in the contact and it was looked over by a lawyer (my husband) so I understood what I had signed, but that was the last song anyways it’s 215 we’re going to open gifts” then moved along a possible 15 second conversation…. party ended at 3
We’re opening gifts when this woman shows up I smile big at her to just be kind and she says come here very loud! for the last 30 min of my kids opening gifts she was causing a scene I didn’t get to enjoy my kids opening gifts or even say goodbye to my guest because she wanted me to know it was a “waiver not a contract🤦🏼‍♀️ ” and her 19year old child felt attacked when I mentioned lawyer and how I pay for the facility, not the staff” reading reviews I already knew this woman was a miserable human and just extremely argumentative so I just agreed and tried to be kind. Telling her that that “waiver” with the deposit is a contract. However after ending her outburst she proceeded to stomp around my guest rushing clean up with the most constipated look on her face. Making everyone feel they needed to leave before even my party end time! I considered messaging her to request a refund based on her outburst and her taking 30 min of my time but she seemed very pressed for the money after our discussion.
Let’s all just learn from my mistake and not book this place!
I am positive there will be a distasteful response and I will not be responding or feeding into an argument. This is for public to see my experience...
Read moreWe had a party of 23 kids out of the 44 we invited. We were told we would be supplied pizza and drink for up to 50 kids. The staff only brought out 15 drinks then we had to ask for drinks for the remainder of the kids TWICE. 15 minutes later after the kids had already ate we received them. We paid $275 to rent the place out. They brought out maybe 22-24 pieces of pizza and total of 23 drinks when we paid for up to 50 kids!!. They shouldve brought out the 50 drinks and 50 guests worth of pizza. The pizza was not served until 40-45 mins into our party time and the same goes for the drinks. Their situation they have going on there is laughable at best. When we walked in at 4:03, 3minutes past our 4-6pm slot the last party was just walking out and the one staff member was “wiping” down the tables. There was no buffer between the previous party that ended at 4 and our party. We have screenshots where we reserved the bounce house and was told we did not reserve it and I contested this at the time without the screenshot proof because I didnt want to cause a fuss in front of our children’s guests but was told otherwise so I concurred with the charges and went about. So much more to complain about but I guess you live...
Read moreMy family was very disappointed in the birthday party we scheduled here compared to other hosted parties. If you book during open session, you should be prepared to have the party on your own. We were greeted by a host who had a list of children attending the party. All of the ages were wrong and never got corrected. The host was the skate rental attendant so we did not see him until the end of the party when he came around with a trash can. Details of the activities were absent and we were left to fend for ourselves. All skaters in the party had to receive a stamp, which could only be obtained at the food counter. This mixes you with the open skate population and can take 10 to 15 minutes of the parties skating time. The staff is rude. If you need anything for your party, you will have to wait in a very long food line to obtain it. We were short plates but decided not to ask for them because of the wait. You are definitely not made to feel special...
