KFC — Restaurant in Richmond

For those who are not aware. The KFC in Richmond has somewhat undergone a remodeling. It's a little more fancy or modernized than it had been in the past. It's not quite on the level of the McDonald's on the EKU bypass where the other restaurant chains are. But it's a step up from where it use to be and sorta has the feel of that mcdonald's to it in terms of modern. Now for those unaware. The chicken liver are currently not on the bar. And I most definitely am a fan of chicken livers. Worry not. If you ask them for chicken livers. They give you warm, somewhat fresh tasting livers. Also to note the Grilled Chicken is discontinued. And the normal BBQ chicken. As told per staff member is not currently back on the bar. which indicts they may return one day. For myself I went through the food bar. tried out various pieces of chicken. batter is ok. and the chicken is good. Then I went back for a third chicken piece. I saw some golden brown chicken legs, thighs and breast. I had to get them. And I'm glad i did. I put that chicken piece in my mouth. And folks i kid you not. My head and neck snap back my eyes widen a bit. I was in shock! This golden brown. not the crispy batter, not the dark coated batter. but golden brown. This chicken tasted almost like KFC back in the DAY! Minus the Saturated fat batter. I couldn't believe it. Most of the time I went to KFC. the chicken was ok. But this piece, was finger licken good. I couldn't believe it. Took me back to my childhood some 20 years ago. when a bucket of KFC chicken was around 20 dollars. I've heard KFC has gone back to frying the chicken in Palm oil rather than soy. Perhaps this is the reason. maybe not. But still it was a welcome surprise! Keep up the good work Richmond KFC. the reorganization has worked! you've gotten rid of the rude staff members. upgraded the building. and hired or retrain the staff members as they are helpful. Can't wait to try the new Smokey Mountain Chicken set to debut on Jan 29. P.S seems the staff has already tasted it. And one has comment that the chicken is good. But will have to try for myself to confirm view. Alright, Love, Peace And Chicken Power! ...

After more than a year kfc finally brings back their mac n cheese bowls. I was going for a spicy chicken sandwich to be pleasantly surprised that the bowls were back. So instead of ordering a spicy chicken sandwich I go for the Spicy Mac N Cheese bowl. Cashier was really nice and sweet. The older white lady guessing she's the manager was waaaay less pleasant. She was also the one who put my order together. I ignored the managers grump attitude because I was flying on cloud nine. Thinking of the great experience I was going to have with my Spicy Mac N Cheese bowl. I get home, get into my bag ready to get down on some grub, when I realized that my Spicy Mac N Cheese bowls were not spicy at all! No, these were Normal mac n cheese bowls. My gleeful joy of before fell to a deep heated disappointment. I have never had a visit to this location where my order was correct all the wsy. So my trips are always spreaded out throughout the year. But now I'm done! Kfc has burned it's final bridge with me! So in short, no. I would not and will not ever recommend this kfc!

December 2021.... still a problem.. no chicken except thighs and wings!!! Every time i come i wind up going to Canes or chic fa la!!! Not too mention KFC changed their hot wing batter!!! Now i can't even buy KFC hot wings!! Their all breading and as a result its nasty!!! Thanks KFC for ruining what WE'RE the best hit wings around!!! Not anymore... Tyson frozen wings are better.... 1st they discontinued the best chicken nuggets!!! Now they destroyed the best hot wings...

Canw in feb 25 2019. Ordered 30 hot wings . Tokd 10 minutes. 15 minutes later had my food. The potatoe wedges were old and nasty. My 2 original thighs were old and tasted badly ( inedible). The coleslaw was great. The 30 wings i waited 15 minutes to be cooked fresh..... over half the wings were old cold inedible!!!!! The others luke warm. The. Breading on 2/3 of the wings were separated form the skin!!! Nasty . The food quality was horrendous!!!! Wait 15 minutes for old food when it was being...
