I had tweeters, subwoofer/box/amp, HID lows/high headlights, and interior neon kit installed on my vehicle by RPM over the course of a year. The ONLY thing they got right the first time were the tweeters. My HID lights kept going in/out and had them worked on by RPM 6 times in less than one year. On the 6th time bringing my vehicle in, they told me that the issue wouldnāt be fixed and it was a ācommon problem in Chargersā. Then they told me that LED lights never have a problem. HIDs werent a problem when I was talking to the shop about which lights to upgrade to originally. If I had known that LEDs would not malfunction I would have gone with them from the beginning. They āgraciouslyā offered to waive the labor fee if I upgraded to LEDs. So I ended up buying LEDs and it cost me over $1200 to upgrade my headlights when it was all said it and done (HIDs + LEDs). My Subwoofer/Amp kept cutting out which resulted in 3 more trips and an upgrade in wiring (free). The subwoofer box that they originally put it in was damaged (Cracked on inside with 2 inch gap). They gave me a free upgrade to a larger box, however, larger box does not fit flush in my trunk and sits on a tilt⦠When I had the interior neons installed they were all supposed to be hooked to a switch that was going to be put in a custom center console. RPM does not do custom fabrication so they were going to have to outsource that piece to a 3rd party that they knew. Not a problem. RPM selected the neons to put in, and told me that they came with a FOB for turning on/off so I could use them before the center piece was put in and they would add the switch later. They told me that it had lots of flashing modes and a bunch of other perks, which I informed them that I didnāt care about. I just wanted to be able to turn them on and off with a switch. After getting the quote for a custom center piece I opted not to go that route and wanted to get a switch installed somewhere else on the console. RPM then informs me that the interior neons installed can only be operated through the FOB and that they cannot install a switch. However, they can put in a regular neon strip with a switch. This regular neon strip, without the perks and settings, is exactly what I wanted the first time around. RPM said they could swap them out for $300. So now Iām out $800 to upgrade my interior lights because they sold me the more expensive, and WRONG, product to begin with. If I had it all to do over again I would never have gone to RPM. They have continuously let me down on project after project with shoddy workmanship and a lack of knowledge about their products. Do not expect a high level of attention to detail when they work on your vehicle. But donāt worryā¦. Labor is always free when they fix their mistakes. Just donāt count on it being done right the first, or second, time. Lastly, research the product and tell them specifically what you want placed in your vehicle. DO NOT trust them to make suggestions for you, it will only cost you extra money in the long run. I did trust them and it ended up costing me alot of money and many headaches. I live in Richmond but from now on I'm making the two hour drive to VA Beach from now on to let a shop there handle...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently took my 2017 Nissan Sentra to get my windows tinted about a week ago. I was new to the whole process of receiving tint and "kinda" did some homework when deciding what degree of darkness of tint I wanted. I went in talking to an employee who gave a relatively ok description of what types of tint they offered and the legalities behind going darker than the regulation if I was planning to go darker. So I decided on my tint (which is on the borderline of being legal or illegal) and waited about 6 hours for the process to be complete. I was informed that 1: the tint has to cure so to do not roll down the windows or wash the windows 2: the tint has to dry completely so it will look kinda bright but will go to its "naturalness" over time and 3: it comes with a lifetime warranty which kinda won me over even though the price was steeper than the surrounding competition (500+ dollar price tag) So I kinda jumped the gun going back a day later saying that the front two windows didn't look as dark as I expected but was told that the light from outside is mainly coming through the front windshield now so the two adjacent windows are going to look lighter than what they actually is (which makes sense due to the front windshield not able to be tinted at all) and was told to wait about a week later and come in to get a correction that met my expectations. (Placing another film over top of the existing one so I wouldn't get charged all over again for 500+ dollars) Calling a week later to be told that technically I would have to pay for another job but got offered a deal. Let's just say that the deal kinda reeled me in but it didn't. So the next time I go back will be something warranty related and hopefully that's honored. When reading this review, I'm completely aware of what I agreed to but wasn't satisfied with the the end result. Explaining my experience there and educate other people that are newer than I will help others make a accurate decision before making a purchase that may have been influenced away from the ideal you have or other reviews that just don't have a detailed description. Research and do a test on your own car before making any decisions. If I knew how dark or light the tint was on my vehicle before making a decision my review would of been 5 stars. The slight misdirection between my interactions with employees did deter me away from pursuing a "pay more to correct the conversations/decisions made." Quality: 5 Service: 3.5 Time: 4.5 if you have another vehicle but 3 if you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy brother and I took my son to look for wheels for his first vehicle and this was the first location we visited. From entering the front door, we experienced nothing short of great customer service and professionalism. We had other places on our list to visit however after 5 minutes of talking to Ivan my brother and son decided this was the place to purchase from. Ivan was very attentive and detailed. He listened to what my son wanted and suggestions from my brother. He offered suggestions on things and gave his honest opinion. Ivan started to show my son different choices for wheels based on what my son said he wanted. The first set of wheels my son liked. Ivan could have stopped there and made the sale; however, he kept showing him other choices until he found the one, he loved. One hour later of searching Ivan showed my son a wheel that my son actually sent to my brother and me prior expressing that was the wheel he would like to have. Ivan took my son out to other vehicles to show what different things would look like and explained them in great detail. We spent a total of 3 hours in the store deciding on what wheels and tires to purchase. During this time Ivan engaged in conversation with my son and brother as if they were old friends. We left with an appointment for the next weekend and a plan. The morning we dropped the truck off to have the wheels and tires put on Ivan introduced us to Jimmy. Jimmy and Ivan talked about the different colors they could paint the break calibers and gave my son some suggestions when he expressed, he didnāt want anything bold. Jimmy asked my son what side he wanted on the outside for his tires as they had different designs on each side. My son appreciated their suggestions, and them talking to him to make the decision. We asked if a picture could be sent to show the wheel on the truck and they said absolutely. Not only did they send the picture of the wheel on the truck they sent pictures of the different stages for the work. When we made the appointment, we were told we would have to leave the truck there all day, around 1:10 p.m. we received a message that the truck would be ready in 30 minutes. The work and service were absolutely impeccable. My son is so happy with the way the work turned out. If you are looking for anything car related do yourself a huge favor and go to R.P.M, you will...
