I booked for smedium human hair boho and they were beautiful. 5 days after getting the braids I went swimming and the hair completely matted and tangled. I tried conditioner and detangler but nothing worked to get the hair back to its original form and I knew then that it was not human hair. I reached out and quickly received a response from Linda who assured me she'd get new hair and fix it. I came in at 8 and waited about an hour for her to arrive. Once she did she let me know she could refund me for the human hair, cut it out and I could keep the braids OR we could take them down entirely and redo the entire style with new hair. I agreed to the takedown because I wanted what I paid $460 for. During the takedown the original braider approached and asked what happened. I'm assuming she went to tell Linda because after, Linda proceeded to tell me she wouldn't have agreed to take the braids down if she knew I went swimming because the chemicals can mess up the hair. That made no sense to me because 1. I swam in natural salt water 2. If it's 100% human hair it shouldn't matter, once the hair is rinsed it should revert. If it doesn't it's not human. She agreed to continue the service and so after the braids were taken down another braider came and began to braid. About 3 rows in she was told to help another customer and another braider was sent to finish my hair. Through the course of the day I had 3 different braiders and we did make the most of my time there. By almost 11pm I was beat and ready to get out of the chair. The new human hair did seem to be of better quality so I left fairly quickly when we were done. The next day when I had time to actually examine my hair I noticed the parts were very uneven and clearly rushed. I'm unsure how seeing as I spent over 10 hours in the shop but the parting was pretty bad. The front row of braids are all different sizes and that was very disappointing to see because the first set of braids was perfect minus the human hair being a mess and I was only there for 7 hours. So for the time to increase and in a sense the quality decrease.... I do appreciate them trying to fix the error but I'm still not 100% satisfied with my service and I don't feel like I got what I paid for. First two pics are of the first set of braids and the remaining pics are of...

Read moreI recently booked an appointment at this salon, lured by their back-to-school special offering a 15% discount, which expired on the 15th. Due to my busy schedule with school and work, I could only book my appointment for the 20th. However, I used the discount code before the expiration date when making the booking and paying the deposit.
To my surprise, on the day of my appointment, I was informed that the discount wouldn’t apply because the appointment was after the 15th. I understand the policy, but this should have been communicated much earlier. The website should have declined the code if it wasn’t going to be valid for appointments after the 15th. Alternatively, a message or notification right after booking, not on the day of the appointment, would have been more professional. The lack of transparency and communication from the owner was frustrating.
The situation was made worse when I arrived at 2:30 PM for my appointment, only to have my hair start an hour later, at 3:30 PM. The process took almost 10 hours, and I didn’t leave until midnight! I understand braids can take time, but the booking page indicated around 5 hours, and that’s what I planned for. Additionally, one of the braiders took a break to pick up their children, further extending the time. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I was left sitting in the chair for far too long.
On a positive note, my hair looks great and the braids were done quickly once they actually started, but the overall customer service experience was disappointing. The owner and braiders could definitely improve their communication and professionalism. While I’m happy with the final result, the rating is only based of customer service...
