I am extremely disappointed in this new salon and I wouldn't recommend anyone going there. Here's what happened to me: I had found a stylist I loved, who worked at a different salon at the time, and I wanted to stick with her. When I found out she was working here now I was thrilled as it was still close to home and seemed like a nice place. I made an appointment about 6 weeks ahead of time as I knew I would be off work that day. It was for 10am so I would be the first appointment of the day. I got there around 9:55am and it was locked which I figured was fine as I was running a few minutes early (I didn't want to be late). The receptionist got there just a few minutes after me and was very nice and let me in. Then, right away, I could tell she was stressed and kept saying she didn't know why the stylists weren't there yet and she was trying to call them and no one answered their phones. About 10:05 she apologized and let me know she would need to have me reschedule; I said I would call back as in my head I knew my experience was ruined and I would not be coming back. Well they called me a couple of hours later (I couldn't answer so they left me a voicemail) to let me know they really apologize and the owner would be coming in to the salon to give me a haircut for free to make it up to me. I thought that was really nice they were trying to amend the situation and take care of me - she even said on the message to just call or come whenever was convenient for me. So I thought perhaps all would be well and I had still found my new salon if they could fix what they messed up that morning. By the time I called back it was about 2pm so I let them know I would be there in 30 minutes. Then they killed their second chance by telling me they had another client on her way so they couldn't take me anytime soon and would 3:30 or 4pm work for me...really? Obviously this place is unorganized and customer service is low on their priority list. Maybe they have some kinks to work out as a new business but like I said I am pretty upset as I was really looking forward to going here and getting a great haircut (truthfully I really just needed a trim!), but they ruined my day and I will not be giving them...
Read moreFrom the second I walked through the doors of Euphoria Hair Salon and Spa, Ms. Faye welcomed me and offered me refreshments and coffee. I had made an appointment with her by phone prior, and she answered all my questions about pricing and services very patiently and in an upbeat, friendly manner; she was very honest about pricing and did not overcharge or have hidden fees, as I found at the conclusion of my hair appointment.
In person, she was just as friendly and welcoming; she has a very warm, infectious laugh, too, that makes her endearing to be around. I had made an appointment at noon for highlight, haircut, and hairstyling; and she was completely prepared, and my hair appointment was underway, as soon as I walked in. No wait time. While I was waiting for my highlights to set in, I was offered a bottle of water and a snack; and I observed Ms. Faye approach her other customers with the same friendly demeanor. She was generous with her knowledge about hair care and really listened to the preferences of her customers at the same time.
At the end of my appointment, upon seeing the final product, I could not stop studying my reflection in the mirror and was amazed at how she had transformed my lackluster hair into a truly beautiful and natural look I wanted to flaunt right away. She made sure I went home equipped with new knowledge about how to improve and maintain my hair health and vitality. I walked out the doors of the hair salon ten times happier than I had walked in.
Ms. Faye is a true hair artist and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Euphoria Salon and Spa in Richmond and Ms. Faye especially. She is a consummate professional and treats every customer as a friend whose hair health she...
Read moreThere seems to be some odd rivalry between the Sugarland & Richmond locations. I had been to the Sugarland location twice before but because I was going to ask business in Richmond later that day, I made my appointment at the Richmond location. They questioned who from the Sugarland location cut & highlighted my hair. Why did I "switch" to Richmond? Then the manager commented that she'd make sure to tell the Sugarland manager that I changed locations. It was all very odd & uncomfortable. With that said, I've been to both places now, received 3 cuts with highlights & lowlights & have yet to be satisfied with the results from either. I will say that when the manager of Sugarland had to re-cut & color my hair, she got the closest to what I actually wanted. And, it wasn't that I was just telling them what I wanted done. I brought pictures of the exact highlights & lowlights I wanted & of the exact haircut I wanted. I wanted a version of a pixie cut & stressed that I would not be & did not want to have to be blow drying my hair at all. That the "pieciness" of the cut was a major priority. With it having the correct "piecie" cut I wouldn't have to do anything but wash, towel dry, style with product & walk out the door. In my experience, no one at either location knew how to cut hair to have a "piecie" look. The only thing they used was the thinning scissors not their regular scissors or a razor blade. So... as is probably very clear, I have been very disappointed with both locations for performance & professionalism. Now I'm off to try my luck at...
