The manager here is a witch.
I was shopping there just now and saw a table I like in clearance. No price. Floor guy (who was super helpful and kind) tells me that it’s because someone returned it yesterday. He calls up one of the supervisors named Anna (also super kind and helpful). She comes over right away to help. Looks at comparable pieces and says so it would be around $70, but it’s damaged, so it’ll be tagged at $50. I tell her to let me think about it (wanting to contemplate whether it’s worth the repair), but I will likely get it. She says no problem, call me up when you cash out and I’ll put a price on it. I continue to shop and resolve to get the table and do the leg repair. Original floor guy sees me go back over to it and immediately asks if I want it carried to the front. I say yes.
I get to the front to the cashier (another young guy who is also incredibly kind). I tell him I just need Anna to put a price on it. He says she is on break, but the manager can do it. He calls her. She doesn’t respond. He calls her again. I can tell by his face that she gave him some toxic response. He very patiently explains that a customer is waiting. She blitzes to the front with some pissy look on her face. Says zero words to me. Rushes off again without resolving anything. Let me note, at this point, that there are less than 15-20 customers in the store and at least 5 staff members in the building (if it were slammed, maybe I’d write some of it off as stress). She finally calls him and says $80. I respond and say, “But it was in clearance and is broken, so Anna said $50.” He calls her back up to ask. Waits a good 2 minutes for a response. Nothing. Calls her back and asks for a response again. She finally responds back and says “10% off.”
All in, this process took a good 10mins as the line grew. I don’t care about waiting, but a) she should have acknowledged my existence and talked to me directly given that one manager said one price and she is overriding them and b) she got pissed off and catty with her employees who did literally nothing wrong and were nothing but patient with her (and were super helpful/kind/apologetic to me).
Hopefully this lady gets retrained, axed, something because it seems like this would be a toxic place to work if she is like this all the time. I imagine based on her attitude that she is tearing into the rest of the staff as if any of this were their fault, but they are the reason this review got any stars because they were super professional in a bad situation. Result - no table for me, and I will hesitate to come...
Read moreThe Christmas decor and organization in the store is amazing. But, unfortunately, the management was extremely rude to their cashiers. I was checking out over a week ago, and I asked these two very nice women cashiers what the holiday return policy was. They said they didn't know and would ask the manager (who was also behind the counter.) Once they asked, the manager whose name is either Ariana or Ari, came around. She grabbed the poster stating the policy and said to the cashiers, "It's right here. How do you guys not know this? This is ridiculous. You need to learn it." I instantly was shocked at the berading manner of the store manager. I could tell by the cashiers' faces that this probably wasn't the first time she's spoke like that to her workers. This lady needs a...
Read moreif I could give no stars it would be possible, a woman is very rude to her employees. I was shopping around the kitchen area last week with my wife all we heard was yelling from a woman in the store ( I thought a customer), but it was a manager. in my opinion that wouldn’t matter to this woman is she should lead her employees and gain their trust instead of saying “ do you use your head” it’s disgusting how these people are treated ( I could have sworn I saw one employee cry), before checking out a cashier was talking to an employee that used to work there and the woman said “ you guys have been dropping like flies!” Geez...
