Ridgefield Organics is what every grocer or food shop should aspire to be. It was bountifully stocked with a such a wide variety of fresh produce: figs- adriatic and black- raspberries, blueberries, cherries, tomatoes of so many shapes and colors, both loose and on the vine. They even stock baby coconuts and unique melon varieties that I've never seen at any conventional supermarkets. A lap around their vegetable stand reminded me again of so seasonal options, and inspired an entire dinner menu.

The shop is mostly comprised of whole organic foods from the earth, but anything pre-packaged is some of the best that can be sourced; that's everything from the local sourdough breads, olive oils, condiments, pastas, etc... The simplicity and curation is perfect and it eliminates the need to sort through an entire aisle of mediocre products. Everything is quality.

Shop Local, Stay Healthy.... OK.. finding good quality organic food not directly from a farm sometimes can be annoying.... not here.. Lisa and her team really go out of their way to find quality produce, specialty foods, and they support local companies getting their healthy products out to market.... you pay for quality and small town goodness... Some of the larger "organic minded" shops just can't give you that. I also second the review that mentioned Ridgefield Prime, a few shops down.. good place for great-quality...
