Sunset Florist — Local services in Ridgefield

I'm convinced the 5 Star reviews here were not at all at the request of the shop's owner. Because they never asked me for a review yet they worked to uphold and fulfill my order with excellent service and attention.

I ordered a funeral spray over the phone. After reviewing photos on their website, I purposely called them because I never like to order from stock photos shown online. All local florists nowadays use a service such as FTD or 800-Flowers to direct and funnel them customers online but it's always best to speak to your local florist directly instead. It also helps local businesses cut out the middle man fees, ensuring a better profit margin to support your local businesses.

Maggie who I believe is the owner, was courteous and professional. I gave her an idea of what I wanted, along with budget. She texted me photos of real work she's done and then worked with me on the details. I paid over the phone with a CC and the process was timely and efficient. Day of funeral service, she had completed the arrangement and delivery several hours before the funeral. However when she sent me a photo of the arrangement, I requested a modification. She responded right away with her very first reply offering to adjust it and redeliver it. I mean, no pushback, no questioning back and forth - just pure effort, accommodation and service. (Attached copy of text showing her response!) Within the hour, they went back to the funeral home, brought it back to their shop, made the adjustments and redelivered it. I mean, how impressive is that?!

The arrangement was beautiful and conveyed my sentiments of sympathy and love. Photo of her work is attached. For reference, $175 + $10 delivery + tax.

I called today, Christmas Eve, with a last minute request for a sympathy bouquet since a friend's father had passed. I needed an all-white floral arrangement delivered to a local address in Ridgefield. I spoke with Maggie and told her I'd like an arrangement similar to the "Peaceful White Lilies" bouquet on the Sunset Florist website (see picture below), preferably with white peonies and chrysanthemums if possible. Maggie ran me through the different white flowers that were available on short notice and promised to put together something nice for my budget. I wasn't too prescriptive since I know zero about flower arrangements, so I put my trust in the professionals! Maggie made it very easy for me, we were done talking in 15 minutes, and we agreed on an arrangement of about the same price as Peaceful White Lilies ($100 before taxes/fees) to be delivered same-day by 5pm. I called at 2:10PM and the flowers were delivered by 3:15PM, which was beyond my wildest expectations.
