I’ve stayed at this complex for two years, and at at first everything was fine. Kerri was my leasing agent, and she was very nice, and worked well with me. However, when my boyfriend and I first moved in back in August 2020 we lived on top of a older Caucasian lady, and she would just call the courtesy officer all the time rather we were on the patio, talking outside, or cleaning up. The officer would come out and ask what’s going on, and things got so bad one night, when the neighbor complained about a “smoke smell” coming from our apartment, and we were not even home. The officer had notice a pattern with resident and instructed me to go to the leasing office in the morning to make a complaint. Once I did that the lady moved out also immediately afterwards. Fast forward to a year later and some months later,( after the renewal of my lease in August 2021) in maybe January or February, we had neighbors on the 3rd floor, and they were very very very loud coming up and down the stairs, and also while in their unit. I ask the residents “Hey when coming down the stairs can you just be mindful, that I live right under the stairs and when you are stomping while coming down I can hear it very well”, they agreed and everyone went their separate ways. However, the stomping or jumping or whatever that’s was transpiring while they were in the unit, still was being heard very well in my unit. So when I came home from work one day, I noticed one of my neighbors from above me. I calmly asked her “Hey, can you guys just be a little more mindful of your neighbors downstairs, whenever you guys are jumping or whatever it is that you are doing.” The young lady responded back with an attitude, and stated “You’ve already told us that”; and she was right, however I informed the young lady that if this continues to be a problem, I will have no choice but to go to the leasing office. She said okay, and the conversation was over. 5 minutes later, the young lady returns back to the building (building #5), with Kerri the leasing agent. So, I assumed Kerri wanted to talk about this situation with BOTH parties, however I was wrong. I did come out of my house to meet Kerri and the young lady, because as I stated previously, I believed Kerri, was going to want to speak with BOTH parties. She instructed to me go back into my unit, and that the courtesy officer was on his way. Once the officer arrived, ( Officer Deer), he went to speak with the young lady, and then maybe 15 minutes later came to speak with me. When he approached me, and asked what happened, and I told him, automatically he starts saying “well I heard you said you were going to beat her up”, (typical not surprised since we are dealing the “others”). I immediately informed him that is not true. He also stated that, because of an incident that happened outside of this apartment complex, that he also has not previously knowledge too, he believed the young lady.
Fast forward to next day, I went to the leasing office to get headquarters number, because at this point there have been two different incidents where, a white neighbor has said something, and now I am the aggressor. When I asked for the number Brandi the property manager, also spoke about an situation that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with her, did not happen on the property, and was going off of the what she had heard from Officer Deer, (pillow talking as most people call it). She tried to tell me I only had 30 days left in this apartment complex, however her boss informed me I do not have to leave, since LEGALLY I have never broken any rules of the complex.
Moral of the story is: Kerri, Brandi, and Officer Deer, are FREAKING horrible, and honestly discriminates against African Americans whom they believe is a problem. Please save yourself the headache and unnecessary problems and do NOT move over here.
Also the trash dumpster is always full and overflowing, this complex has an awful spider problem, air filters are never changed out unless you have asked, and pest control only comes...

Value: rent is higher than competition; however the space is greater making it a great value. I sought out higher rent areas as they tend to be safer.
Apartment Numbering: ### first number is floor (1 or 2 or 3) second number is building number (1-16? or 14? with #1 being in the back & higher number by the main office / dumpster / entrance to the compound) third number is apartment number (1 or 2).
Parking: non-assigned but huge allowing for ease of opening doors without risk of hitting the car next to you.
Building: not well kept in the sense that you have to request them to come clean the stairs (I cleaned mine 2x and 3x had them clean it (cobwebs & fallen leaves)) + lots of mosquitos & bugs dead by door & walls outside apartment so got to clean that from time to time. It must be a state thing. I don't think anyone would keep all of this stuff clean, at least the staff tries to accommodate you if asked.
Apartment: Windows: lots of huge windows which make the apartment bright & lively. Apartment constructed sometimes so as to not face sunlight (we were in one of those apartments so we rarely got direct sunlight). Huge windows meant more wind sweeping through the cracks so temperature control needed to be adjusted on windy days. I really enjoyed these, it really makes a huge difference in preventing the place from being depressing. Carpet: we got a new carpet at signing of lease, wife noticed it seemed like everyone always got a new carpet when people moved out. Variations: our pantry had shelves someone installed, not all pantries have those. Our shower had a huge bathtub (like 1.5x bigger than the standard - this is in those apartments with a study) other apts have normal bathtubs (this makes a difference in luxury experience, another thing I really loved about this place). Electric stove - so no gas bill. Outdoor closet in the balcony had cracks so bugs go in there (i never used mine for that reason) so kinda wasted space.
Staff: Friendly staff (maintenance & management) that tried to do everything they could to help you out (in a lot of google reviews this was a factor in making a place undesirable to live at - this is not the case here). 9-5 maintenance with emergency on call service. Office M-Sat (sun closed).
Office Services: free printing + not_ _ _. they will not accept packages (the big ones) but small ones they might
Compound: tennis court - only 1 guy uses it, generally used as a wide open compound to run in. racquetball court - never used, though ppl use this often. gym 24/7 which is amazing!!! allows you to have private gym sometimes. swimming pool - outdoors which sucks mainly used as a place to sunbath rather than actually swim. laundry - they just updated everything 1.5 for wash & dry each + vending machine. Backtrail - sometimes gets pond water overflowing to trail - so never really used it.
Speedbumps: lots of them so going to a lower numbered building (which would be in the back) can get annoying. but you get used to this.
Bugs: for the most part bugs haning outside of the door at night due to the lights, they rush in when you come inside. they spray monthly for mosquitos to die. bathroom cockroaches rarely - usually you can request bug guy to come spray that takes care of the problem. its a clean place so roach infestation is not an issue. cockroaches from the woods are an issue in the winter as they like going to apts without pets. i saw one ignore my neighbors apt & try to go into mine (killed it). summers you see lots of ladybugs. overall bugs are a MS thing, you can't avoid it but important part is that apts are clean so infestation is not an issue. also didn't really notice any mold issues. bugs & molds were things you need to watch out for in a lot of the apts...
