Dinner 730 PM Friday night Number of tables occupied - 1-6 top, 3-2 tops, plus my wife and I. The restaurant was approximately 1/4 full.
We have been to this place multiple times, so obviously in the past we felt it was good enough to visit again.
We ordered: Large queso Al carbon chimichangas Combination nachos
In the past the large queso was more than enough to bring extra home. Tonight it was in a out a 8-12 oz bowl.
Chimi- there were exactly 6 strips of steak, the rest was full of vegetables. There may have been 3 oz of refried beans and half cup of rice. The plate was not warm to the touch, therefore the food was barely warm.
Nachos - there were 6 nachos on the plate, the menu said there were beans, the nachos were void of beans.
Waiter - unattentive, aloof and uncaring
He asked, need more chips? Yes... he disappeared and didnt see him again, until our meal arrived. We had to ask a second waitstaff for chips
When asked about beans on nachos, his response "it's on there and walked off"
He asked "how is everything?" I responded with ehhh... he said "ok good" and walked off.
Food delivery was slow and food was Luke warm.
If you look through my reviews, and I've done plenty, you will not find another rating such as this. I work in this industry and am very sympathetic to small business restaurant owners.
As we were leaving, my wife said to me, we dont have to come back to this place for awhile.
Hopefully it was a bad night, we wont be back to...
Read moreCinco is my favorite Mexican restaurant around. Yes there are newer, fancier, bigger ones but Cinco has that small, warm, cozy feeling and the best margaritas of anyone. The staff are always so friendly and make sure you have everything you need. Their great if there's ever an issue which as many years as we've been going there there's only been one instance and it was minor. We had our neice staying with us who loves Mexican so we go each time she comes. She's a picky eater and doesn't like her food to touch. I know! She'd order tacos and gave no instructions when the waiter brought them they ofcourse had lettuce tomatoes and cheese. Well she hate tomato and lettuce and said so and wasn't going to eat it. I offered to remove them but because they'd touched the rest of it she couldn't eat it. I know! I called the waiter over and explained the problem. I expected an eye roll, a smirk a grunt something but only got a huge smile and a no problem. He took it away and brought out a new plate of tacos with only meat and cheese. She now knows to specify that and now the only issue for us is wether to get a small or large cheese dip. Their food is always ready quickly and always fresh and oh so delicious. I'm picky about salsa and there's is the only ones in town I love. Not too spicy and just the right amount of kick. We always eat in the bar area which is never over crowded and less noise and is nice and cozy. Plus it's the bar and my next margarita is never far...
Read moreThe best hands down Mexican authentic food in Jackson this place is on Lake Harbor Drive right next to Buffalo Wild Wings across the street from I don't know anyway it's excellent excellent food it's a family-run business the father just passed away recently and his son and rest of the family has taken over in doing it just like Dad used to do. I would recommend this Mexican restaurant and I've been to about 8th and Jackson in the last 2 months and I've been to this one three days in a row recommend it to all that like Mexican food and I must have would be the cheese sauce cheese dip. Also the tortilla chips are crispy with a little chili powder spice they put on them very light but they're delicious. Good job Cinco de Mayo I will be back I hope not tomorrow cuz my because my stomach can't take it or I should say my hips love your food enjoy the cheese dip guacamole enchiladas yesterday today I had the shrimp Del Mar enchiladas and I had the chili...
