DG Market — Local services in Ripon

I live here in ripon so there really isn’t much options for grocery stores or just stores in general to go to. So with that you would think this store would be on it and just be full of nice people since it’s such a small town. That’s not the case, managers are never happy or helpful and the employees just look intimidated the entire time they are working. I feel bad for them! They are nervous to even ask a manager to void out a purchase and for a manager to give a look to a customer because they changed their mind is just crazy. I drive all the way into Manteca or Modesto now rather than go to this store! I also filed a complaint to corporate office because no one should have to work in such a hostile environment that’s why you guys have had hiring signs so long. Bunch of rude and unhappy people here our little town...

I was there this evening looking for something that I could find and a employee named Rebecca and she was so helpful and made my shopping there easier. And she made my girlfriend smile. She was very professional and helpful. Kind and seemed to really know her job. I give your store five stars because that girl made it go fast and friendly. Don't know what her regular work habits are but if she is that good all the time id recommend you...

EDIT: THIS PLACE IS A DUMP. . OUTSIDE PARKING LOT HAS TRASH EVERYWHERE. CIGARETTE BUTTS ALL OVER. BATHROOMS UN MAINTAINED. I DONT UF THERE US A NEW MANAGER. BUT Place has gone down hill. AND I FEEL BAD FOR HAIR SALON AND NAIL PLACE HAVE TO DEAL WITH TRASH FROM Dollar General. Good prices. it is cheap. but selection very limited. good parking. only grocery store on this side of town.
