I'm not the one to brag or complain over little things, but if I am going to pay for something that is being advertised, please own up to what you are marketing. Tried to find a new coffee shop outside of Manteca because I saw this coffee shop on Google. I was excited to walk in seeing the place look good and focalized my eyes on the "Candied" orange mocha (appeared to be iced). I ordered it because it reminded me of another location in the Bay that I missed so much. Got my drink and no toppings. Just drink and whipped cream. So I had to ask the question.... "Oh, is there supposed to be toppings?" The gentleman said no, and afterward, I pointed right at the pic. The other lady just said, "Oh, that's just the picture." Scratching my head, I'd want what the picture described.... "Candied." I mentioned if I would have known, I would have ordered something else, kept it simple, and got an espresso. Why advertise this and me having to pay over 5 bucks for an iced drink and not accommodate. No apologies, no sincere thought of, omg, I'm so sorry, could I make you another drink? I think I'll stick with Philz, who would have immediately apologized and have been more accommodating. Must be a Valley thing, I guess. I also got an almond crossiant. It was very dry and was cut in half. I'm not sure what they did that. Please fix your advertising and don't mislead...
Read moreAfter recently moving from the Bay Area, I was on the hunt for a new local coffee spot to try. One Monday morning at 6 am, I walked into the Ripon Coffee Shop to find it bustling with early risers enjoying each other's company over their coffees. I was warmly greeted by the owner, a kind gentleman behind the counter. When I asked his recommendation for someone who typically orders a caramel macchiato with extra shots, he assured me they could accommodate that order.
My son and I waited for our drinks in the shop's peaceful, calming atmosphere. When my coffee was ready, I was delighted to see it adorned with a sticker that read "God is our present help in time of need" - a refreshing touch that made me feel right at home. The caramel macchiato was the best I'd ever tasted, and my son raved about his bagel with the perfect amount of cream cheese.
I've returned to the Ripon Coffee Shop twice since, each time receiving the same wonderful experience and excellent customer service from the staff. I'll be sure to recommend this hidden gem to all my family...
Read moreIt took me a long time to try this place despite the fact that it's only a few blocks from my house. When I first went in, I was surprised at how many different drinks they offered. I've only tried a couple of them because I'm a creature of habit, but they are consistently delicious (which is more than I can say for the big name coffee place in town). Every time I have gone in, the employees are SO friendly. They welcome you, take your order with a smile, and all say goodbye. They make the drinks really quickly, too. Today I went in for my usual. I had been having a bad day and when I got home I dropped my coffee and it spilled all over the garage floor. I was so bummed. I went back to get another one and the girls were so sweet about it. They didn't even charge me for a replacement drink (which I was prepared to pay for because I was a klutz!). That's amazing customer service. I would recommend this place...
