Hackensack Gastroenterology Associates — Local services in River Edge

The office staff is hit or miss. Some are pleasant and helpful, others "flat" and seemingly disinterested. I was never sure when or if I would receive a call back in response to a question. The Tech who worked with me during my only office visit was very nice and professional Dr Leibowitz is very pleasant and really listened to my story. Endoscopy and Colonoscopy were ordered. However, contrary to what he indicated, I was not contacted by his staff until 3 days prior to the procedure as to my cost for the procedure. I had very little contact with his office prior to the procedure and was not contacted AFTER the procedure. I had to call THEM to REQUEST medication to treat an issue discovered during the Endoscopy! As I was the last procedure of the day, he appeared to be in a hurry and he never said what he recommended to address the issue he found during the Endoscopy!

I was completely floored!!

No follow up appointment was scheduled. Procedures done, money made, end of story. I will be researching other options!

he most unprofessional doctors office I have ever dealt it. I made an appointment in August and the earliest appointment they gave me was for end of October.I called one week before my appointment to confirm and I was told I didn't exist in their system. Next available appointment was for January. Couple of days before my aforesaid appointment I get an email confirming my appointment. By this time I had already scheduled two meetings at work and I couldn't cancel them last minute.I called the doctors office and spoke to Maria to see if they could accommodate me anytime after that who is totally unapologetic for their mistake and extremely rude. She insisted on me waiting for another three months or go to an ER. Had heard amazing things about Dr Chhada and I wish I got to see her. But 6 months is an unreasonably long time to see even if that doctor is the best...

Dr. Chaada is very pleasant. ALL personnel are rude and don't want to be bothered with you or your questions. They never relayed a message to the Dr. to call in a prescription. When I called, the secretary told me it wasn't handled properly and I had to wait another 3 days for the Dr. to get the message. When I questioned why I had to wait another 3 days because of their incompetence I was told I was yelling. No, I questioned their incompetence. No apology.....just an attitude. ...
