The day before Thanks Giving I was forced to bring my car in to Midas because a heater hose had sprung a leak the evening before. Since I was almost home I decided to wait until the next morning when the engine was cool that way there was no danger of it over heating since I only lived 2 miles from the shop. The fellows at this garage had done a fine job a few months before replacing some worn out breaks and I already felt good about letting them try and fix my car. I got in late in the morning and found they were busier then I had expected but my car was in the shop within about 20 minutes and not 30 minutes later Chris came out with the estimate for not only the heater hose but I also requested the rear shocks be replaced as they were air and leaking badly also. The news wasn't good, He said they had to go through a dealership to get the right hose and unfortunely it is only sold in a kit now (more then likely do to the age of the vehicle I guess). I figured it just as well since all the hoses were original and very dry rotted. Chris told me the repairs I needed and wanted were going to cost about $900 but they had to order it and wouldn't have them until Friday meaning I had to spend Thanksgiving alone with my cat this year . Chris told me they would take the car apart so it would be ready to have the new parts put in Friday and then surprised me by offering to get me a ride home. I've been in places before that would go only as far to let you use a phone for a ride. It was almost lunch time when the Branden, the nice fellow that was working on my car came around by the door to give me a ride. I thought it was very good of him to do this as I would have had to wait lord know how long for a cab and I'm sure He'd rather be taking his lunch break after being hard at work since they opened. Chris called me at home Friday to let me know Branden would be coming to pick me up as my car was just about ready. I know Brandon had to put a lot of extra elbow grease into fixing my old rusty car and I don't think they fully realized how important that old car is to me, You see I'm 54 years old and am disabled with several health issues that keeps me running back and forth to doctor appointments and hospital visits (17 in the last two months) and that car is the only thing I have left in my life that gives me a small sense of freedom even though I only drive around 1,000 miles a year now, It's really good to have People like Chris and Brandon and all the rest of those kind people at Midas I know I can count on to do a good job. Having been a professional driver almost my entire working life I've seen the inside of many garages and service centers and have dealt with so called mechanics that wouldn't pull a grease rag out of there back pocket unless they could make a fast buck or they need to wipe the sleep out of there eyes. But, these fellows at Midas really do care. Sure it cost a lot to keep a car running but I realize also that a garage can make more money off of ten 30 minute repair jobs then they do 1 repair job lasting 2 days. and they could have sent me someplace else but instead provided the best customer service I've seen in a long time. I may have missed out on Thanksgiving this year with my family but I'm VERY Thankful for these fine young people that really do make Midas better then all the rest....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello and good evening, To start things off, Iāve been going to Midas now for over two years I believe and never have I ever had an experience like this. On 2/21/25( I know this review is long over due) I went in to get my car look at because my engine light came on. While I waited as they analyzed my car the Assistant manager Ricky was at the desk. I over heard a conversation that he was having with a custom over the phone. He was informing the customer that they will have 12 months interest free if their bill is over 600. So now his manager got back to me about what was going on with my car. I went to the desk and then CLARIFIED with Ricky, that If I used my Midas card will it go underneath the 12 month plan; He responded YES. Now long story short, I got my bill online and look at my promotional plan and it said only 6 months. Also let me clarify, I am a college student who paying their own tuition, plus rent, bills, car notice and so much more. I Specifically asked Ricky about the 12 months because paying 986.0 for spark plugs would be too much to pay off right now in just 6 months. I Call Midas customer service they said I have to go back to Midas and have them redo the promotional plan. Went back the following week and saw Ricky. He said he donāt know what happened it was suppose to go through as twelve months and said that he donāt know how to redo it. To come back when his manager was there. Came back on Monday when Toby the manager was there. He flat out said there nothing he can do for me; and I said even though your assistant is going around saying false information. Then he looks at my trans earrings, looks at me and said, āI donāt know Dude, thereās nothing I can doā. I said āoh ok, I will not be coming back hereā. So point of the matter is that be careful this Midas. They will screw you over and donāt care if youāre a student. Even though itās their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have had two bad experiences here (though admittedly many good in the past). The first was about 12 years ago. I purchased a set of tires here for my wife's mini van. After just two years the tires were almost bald. Since I could not prove with paperwork that the tires had been regularly rotated - they had, at every oil change - but because I couldn't prove it, they wouldn't stand by their warranty. I've never bought another set of tires from them - and I've never had the same problem with tires from any other store. Because of this I stopped taking my business there for about 10 years. Then a couple years ago I decide to give them another chance and started going back. I had them do some rear brake work on my pickup truck two years ago. They messed up the left rear tire so badly - the next day I was on the highway and smoke started billowing out from the left rear wheel. Took it back and they admitted it was their fault and re-did everything. Two years later - took the truck in for an oil change and they said the left rear wheel needed to be completely redone again. But this time they wouldn't stand by their warranty. Took the truck to another shop and they said most of the parts that Midas wanted to replace were fine - but Midas had messed up the original install. The new shop fixed what Midas messed up at half the cost. Will never take any of my vehicles to Midas for ANY service EVER again. I highly DO NOT...
