Furniture City — Local services in Riverside

I would never buy anything from here again. We ordered a dresser, chest, and two nightstands (hefty order, totaling over $1600) and were told it’d be about a week before we got it. Okay fine. A week came and went and they called saying it’d be a few more days. Well another week went by and they called to say it’d be a few more days. After a few days I had to call, and they said they’d definitely have them to me before the weekend… well guess what? They called on that Friday saying they would deliver my order on Monday. WELL I called Monday to ask what time it’d be delivered, and was told the truck would be in at the end of the week… we got rid of all our old furniture to make room for the new stuff only to not receive it for a month at this point (still don’t have it). I can’t even speak to the quality of the furniture because I’m not sure I’ll ever receive it. Also, I was never offered a discount for the inconvenience (me taking off work every day they said it’d be delivered) which would absolutely have made me feel better about the situation, but no. So now I’m out $1600 plus all the days I’ve taken off work and I have nothing to show for it. I would never recommend this furniture shop to anyone. The quality of the furniture is terrible. Scratches, dents, and the fake finish on the furniture just peels off. For three weeks I have been trying to get my NEW furniture to look new. I was nice and understanding until the sales reps blamed me and even hung up on me one time because it wasn’t SAL’s problem. Coy also was rude and said there was nothing wrong with the furniture I sent back well that’s funny because I have the pictures to prove it. The only people who were even helpful were the guys who came and delivered the furniture. After coy kept saying he didn’t have night stands in the delivery man said they were at the warehouse he could have brought it that day. Then when I asked COY about it he lied and said oh they just came today, don’t try me the delivery man said they had been sitting there for days. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have worked in sales I know you are never to blame the customer perhaps I could give them a few tips. And the icing on the cake the repair man from furniture city was suppose to be here at 1:00 pm.. guess who still hasn’t shown up? I asked for a phone call from SAM the manager, never happened. Friendly employees and good furniture. I like the financing option, but it’s important to be sure you can pay within those 90 days or you will end up paying double the value of the furniture. It doesn’t have a credit requirement so it’s a good option if you’re not wanting to put down everything on one check but need your credit to stay intact. They got our couch to us within 2 days (and offered to have it to us within 24 hours, we just needed to push it out since we had plans) and were fast at bringing it in and setting it up, while making sure it was arranged how we wanted.
