El Taco Veloz Dayton — Restaurant in Riverside

Very, very bad experience. Arrived at 1:38 and out of lemons, limes and frozen margaritas. Margarita on the rocks arrives and no flavor, no sour mix, pure water, and yet the lemons and limes on the glass looked great, I guess our server didn’t want us having lemons in our water. Fajitas come out without lettuce, sour cream or quac, comes out almost 15 minutes later, tortillas another 8 minutes later. Server disappears through this whole ordeal and shows up 35 minutes later with our check out of breath and says sorry. 3 tables seated in restaurant plus a manager and everyone acting like the sky has fallen. We will come in after 5 from now on, the staff in the evening is more prepared and has never let us down. Worst service we’ve had from any restaurant in a long time. I ordered the Torta Cubana, thinking to myself, I enjoy a good Cuban sandwich. THEY BROUGHT ME THE SANDWICH ON A TURNTABLE. I had the meat sweats for hours afterward. THEY USED REFRIED BEANS AS A SANDWICH SPREAD FOR PETE SAKE. I DIDN'T EAT THE BREAD OR THE FRIES AND I STILL NEARLY PASSED OUT FROM A FOOD COMA. Everything for my sandwich, if that's what you want to call it, the fries and all the little extras were only $14.

We had dinner there this evening based on what people have been saying about it the couple of days it has been open. Everything people are saying is true. The staff is awsome, super friendly and attentive. The place is very nice and clean, but it has only been open 3 days. The food presentation and portions are above par compared to other Mexican places in the area. Chips and salsa are really good. My wife ordered the Nachos Veloz, huge portion loaded with shredded chicken. I ordered the Burrito El Barzon, best I've ever had hands down. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the bowl of Street Corn, it was good just not what I expected. Beer was good and cold.
