Opening day was fantastic employees were high energy seemed excited to serve. Fast forward to Saturday a different story. I went in to try some of the deli area Mexican food and immediately felt a different vibe from the hot food section. My server seemed annoyed because I request that she add crema to my burrito and that she not scrape the burnt rice stuck to the serving pan on my burrito. I paid $8.00 for what tasted like an unseasoned carne asada burrito with what tasted like canned beans. The second part of my order was going to be a chicken dinner with mashed potatoes but gravy wasn’t an option and I was told by a gentleman working the counter if I want gravy they sell jars of it so I passed. I’ve never been to a chicken shop where chicken and mashed potatoes didn’t come with gravy. The employees at the front of the store were fantastic because that’s where the executives were standing watch. Every single employee under the executive supervision acted overly happy to greet and extremely happy to assist me at self checkout, I felt like I was at ChickFila up front. One big improvement to make so penny conscious people like me feel like I’m getting my moneys worth would be to fix the tiny round serving scoops the food people use to serve. There’s nothing worse than watching a server dump food out of a scoop to make it exact before serving. For $8 I expect a heaping burrito not a stripped down version containing 1 small round scoop of beans, 1small round scoop of rice and 1 small round scoop of meat which is approx half serving wise as what’s served...
Read moreI don't recommend this store if you're looking for good customer service. My mexican (spanish speaking) mother has been mistreated everytime she goes here. When she asks for help to look for an item in the store, she gets ignored and when someone finally does help her, the stater bros employee gives an attitude. As if they are being bothered from what they're doing from stocking the shelves. Also, we understand diverse languages can be a challenge for employees but what's the trouble to ask for a bilingual employee to step in and help? On the last visit, she bought a hot bag potato wedges and she mentioned that the clerk threw her the bag on the counter. Placed closer to the food scale which was barely at reach for her to grab, as she is short in stature. With the clerk only saying, 'there you go' and not a thank you mentioned. So I don't understand who Stater Brother's target customers are but they are not spanish speaking ones. Which is surprising to see, they built the store around the hispanic community. She'll continue to go to Cardenas, El Super and Walmart down the street - they've treated my mother better and have better...
Read moreLeaving this review because apparently they only tell you if you ask and aren’t required to disclose so please ask this before buying a cake from there! “Will this cake be frozen?” My get together was ruined when we couldn’t enjoy a tres leches cake from here! Completely frozen the only edible parts of the cake were the frosting and fruit lol I understand they freeze their cake but if you have it on display I assume it’s ready to be consumed if it’s not a simple disclosure to the customer would be great! So we could decide wether to purchase it or not. However, their lack of professional customer service and lack of knowledge really made this experience terrible they hung the phone on me before I even finished speaking and told me they could refund me but all their cakes were still frozen so I wouldn’t be able to get a cake but just a refund. I think they missed the point, I just wanted an edible cake and friendly service. You can keep your refund Liz I’ll just leave this review here for...
