This isn't your everyday Art supply store. The individuals that run this spot are some incredible human beings that illuminate all the positive association one might recall when they think of "buying local". For the everyday art hobbiest or just curious passerby this means walking into a spot where the people there not only know what they're selling but will engage with you on whatever different artistic medium directions or tools your curious about whether your only experience is doodling in the margins of notebooks or your thinking about switching from Oil painting to print making. More broadly they offer classes, work shops, they regularly host showings of art from local students, amateurs, and established art professionals alike, they get involved with other local grassroot initiatives, some of these guys are responsible for a few of the awesome murals we have downtown, etc. Basically it's a good place, with really good people. Such nice people work here ((smile)) I come in once in a while to browse or to get painting supplies... ahhhhh NOPE I am NOT an artist. I just like to buy schtuff for my craft room and one day inspire to become a water color artist!!

I went in today to buy something as a gift for a co-worker who actually is an artist and again with the Customer Service! Patiently explaining to me the difference with the water color brushes and didn't make me feel like a complete dunce when I admitted I would also be purchasing for my 8 year old Granddaughter who also liked to paint. I grabbed her a couple of Canson sketch pads & Princeton brushes - which they have an abundance...

A local shop that's just a block away from my cell phone repair shop. Staff is always super, super friendly and are all quite talented artists. They seem well rooted in the local art community, and participate with the monthly art walks. Haven't met the owner but everyone speaks well of him. Most importantly, this place is jam packed full of quality, hard to find art supplies. Stuff you just aren't going to find at a big box retailer.
