Estrella Taqueria Lounge — Restaurant in Riverside

Beware! The waitresses here are THIEVES. Went into this restaurant on Saturday 11/18/2023 at 5 pm with my fiance and mother for a quick stop before the Mission Inn Lights Fireworks show.

We were seated about 5-10 min. Had expressed to the waiter that we were tryna catch the show..so we ordered chips and salsa, one corona beer, & my mother had the quesabirria. I had ordered the ceasar salad but never arrived.

No utensils or napkins were provided. Had to get up and ask. Other customers also had to ask.

My fiance spoke up that my salad never arrived and to please remove it from our order. They came back & said it was made but never handed out so they placed it in a to go bag.

It was not a busy afternoon for a saturday night for them to be so forgetful to keep up with orders.

The waitress took the money for the bill & we waited for the change. We thought she was getting our change from behind the counter but she walked off to the back.

I had to use the restroom and overheard the women in there speaking of their bad experiences with the waitresses overcharging as if trying to hustle them for more money.

Returned from the bathroom & had to leave in a rush due to the fireworks show starting. So we left without making a big deal. We left with out our change. Clearly, the waitress kept it.

The order was not removed from bill as requested & our change wasnt given back. Ended up paying for their mistake. & the waitress kept the $4 change as tip (guess she needed it badly).

We were robbed $12. No customer receipt copy was provided.

We didnt get the waitresses name. But, she was a young girl in her 20s, tall, & skinny. With half hair up & half down with two string bangs.

First of all, in this area on a Sunday, there aren’t many restaurants open, so if you want to grab a quick lunch or brunch, options are already limited. I was traveling for work and wanted to get something to eat before my flight. I figured, since I’m in California, why not get tacos? From the outside, the place looked really nice!!! very aesthetically pleasing and inviting. But as soon as I walked in, the music was blasting so loud it felt like I had just stepped into a nightclub at 2 a.m., not a restaurant on a Sunday at noon. The bass was shaking the room, and it was impossible to even think straight. When the guy at the door greeted me — maybe the manager — I couldn’t even hear what he said. I had to tell him, “I’m sorry, but it’s too loud in here.”

Trust me, I’m 26 years old , I love loud music, and I’m always down for a good time, but this was just too much for a place serving lunch. It really felt like the staff or management didn’t read the room. It’s the middle of the day, sunlight pouring in, and people are coming from church or just out for a calm meal.
