I am done with Home Depot. I purchased two pallets of pavers from Lowe’s. They were 6 x 9 and I also wanted some 6 x 6. Lowes did not have those but Home Depot did. I purchased a pallet. The two employees that were loading it on my truck were about as unfriendly as could be. I assured them that I had done similar before, and that I was not going to hold them liable. One of them took pictures as I left I’m sure to CYA. Within an hour I had offloaded the pavers at home and returned with the pallet to get my $25 deposit back. Same guy on the forklift was still there. He told me to just drop the pallet on the ground and picked it up. He said I didn’t need anything from him and I could get my refund at the cashier. The cashier told me no I would need to go to customer service, so I did. I asked for the deposit back on the pallet and explained I wanted to exchange 11 of the pavers that were in poor condition. They told me that I needed to bring the pavers to the Customer service desk before they would issue a refund. I could then go purchase other pavers. I retrieved the pavers, brought them to the customer service desk, got my deposit and refund, and left. I’ve had a Home Depot card for years. I hadn’t used it much and so they dropped my credit limit. There was a time when I put up with the poor service and chaos of the store because I would typically find better prices. No longer the case, I will not be going back to Home Depot. The two photos I posted for a price comparison show that Home Depot was double the price for the same product.

For the first time since moving to Riverton in 2013, I am not happy. Considering that Lowe's is about the same distance and has better customer service hours than Home Depot, why should we continue business with you? My issue is custom blinds that I ordered that show up with the cords cut. 3 of 4 orders were perfect. I have more rooms to do and I can't get help? Look at your hours, even has a type-o. I believe they should read 6AM to 2PM EST but that translates to 4AM to 12PM MST and even worse if you are PST or Hawaii. Thanks for offering the callback. Hope it is when I am awake. Once this is fixed I know who earned my business. I called yesterday after 12PM MST, they said they were closed. Today it is over an hour wait, asked for a callback, at 12:27PM, no callback. I bet they call at 4-8AM MST tomorrow. FYI, the order says to NOT return the items to the store. Great service. I will spread the word, you earned it. Took over a week of several attempts to get a callback. Right in the middle of our weekly team meeting. Had to excuse myself because no way was I missing this. Had to send pictures. They reordered the blinds after I explained why they could not be installed. They charged me again and refunded the money later. Nothing like being charged twice before a refund for something that wasn't your fault. I would not bother with Home Depot. I'm done once this is fixed. It should be a couple of more weeks. About a month total when this custom blind ordeal started.

Absolutely worst experience ordering from this location. I ordered a dresser unit online that was delivered timely. Turns out, this thing weighed very heavy, and they left the box damaged and sitting outside my garage at 8PM at night. If I wasn’t a big guy, there would have been absolutely no way it would have been brought in our home. There was also no option given for in-home delivery. Strike 1. I then began assembling the unit, until I realized the instructions were clearly incorrect and poorly drawn up (images flipped left and right, blatantly incorrect instructions, wrong screw placement in the instructions, etc.). Strike 2. I finally realized Home Depot needed to come assemble this since it would be impossible for me to based on the trash instructions (I have assembled many, many furniture pieces so I knew it wasn’t just me). I called this location only to find out not only do they no longer have anyone to come assemble it as advertised online, but that they would do nothing to rectify the situation. Strike 3. Now I have a partially assembled dresser sitting in my bedroom with no way of completing it. First bad review I’ve ever felt like I needed to write. Thanks Home Depot Riverton! Shopping at nearby Lowe’s from now on.

Had what I needed.

History of The Home Depot

The Home Depot was founded in 1978 by Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank, two former executives of Handy Andy, a home improvement chain. The Home Depot was designed to be a one-stop shop for all of the materials and tools needed for home improvement projects. The company quickly grew, and by 1984, it had over 100 stores in the United States.

Today, The Home Depot is the largest home improvement retailer in the world, with over 2,200 stores in the United States, Canada, Mexico, China, and the United Kingdom. The company employs over 400,000 people and generates over \$100 billion in annual revenue.

Pros of The Home Depot

Some of the pros of shopping at The Home Depot include:

Wide selection of products: The Home Depot has a wide selection of products for all types of home improvement projects. Whether you're looking for tools, lumber, appliances, or anything else, you're likely to find it at The Home Depot. Competitive prices: The Home Depot is known for its competitive prices. The company often runs sales and promotions, so you can save money on your home improvement purchases. Convenient locations: The Home Depot has stores all over the United States, so you're never far from one. The company also offers online ordering and home delivery. Friendly and knowledgeable staff: The Home Depot staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you find the products you need and answer any questions you have.

Cons of The Home Depot

Some of the cons of shopping at The Home Depot include:

Large stores can be overwhelming: The Home Depot stores are very large, and it can be difficult to find what you're looking for. The store layout can be confusing, and the crowds can be overwhelming. Long lines: The Home Depot stores can be very busy, especially on weekends. This can lead to long lines at the registers. Not always the best prices: The Home Depot is not always the cheapest place to buy home improvement products. It's always a good idea to compare prices before you buy. Customer service can be inconsistent: The Home Depot customer service can be inconsistent. Some customers have had positive experiences, while others have had negative experiences.

Overall, The Home Depot is a great place to shop for home improvement products. The company has a wide selection of products, competitive prices, and convenient locations. However, the stores can be large and overwhelming, and the customer service can be...

If this is the Riverton, Utah store I cannot say enough good things. I have never given Home Depot anywhere five stars. Lack of adequate assistance and directions are usually the norm. BUT this last Saturday in Riverton impressed me. Everyone took personal interest with the exception of one small framed Caucasian lady at the beginning who summarily dismissed my question and sent me to the Pro Counter which was closed. My friend Ed was picking up a utility trailer which he ordered and it was in. I wanted to know what size ball was needed for the hook up and initially I was put off. When I went to the closed Pro Desk I was wandering about like a dementia patient where I ran into Josie who could not help me but she physically escorted me back to the Order area and tried to pull the specs up on the trailer. There were many computer issues that day. She ran into a most pleasant young man who did not know much detail but he took me physically all over the store to get answers. We found the trailer in a box. It had cosmetic damage. The cashier who wore glasses took %15 off and he was a gem to work with. Another older man helped us get the right ball for the hitch. And he saw we were not happy the trailer was not assembled and he coordinated a scheduling for the engineer to assemble it who would not be in until Tuesday. I called Tuesday to follow up at 1 pm and pleasant Sheryl was great on the phone.

The store needs much help with the several breakdowns in their system. 1. Computer issues. 2. Store ordering without telling the customer about assembly. I mean, come on, we ordered a utility trailer to be towed behind a car and it comes in a box? 3. The availability of the person building the trailer was three days later and did not get in until 1 pm on Tuesday.

HOWEVER, I cannot and will not jig a rating because Home Depot procedures were not customer friendly in this case...but these associates...all except the small skinny lady at the Order desk in the beginning...worked around these store issues, took my hand and would not let me go until all questions were answered and help received even if they did not know the answer themselves. Amazing! I wish I got the name of my first associate contact so that she can receive extra training in customer service or otherwise transfer to...

I ordered 9- 10 lb bags of lava rock on June 29th. I was told my order would be there in 2-3 days. 10 days later I finally received a email telling me my product was in. I arrived and was given 4- 5lb bags of lava rock. I immediately called customer service and told them I was only given 20lbs of the 90 I was supposed to receive, and that these were not 10 lb bags, but only 5 and that I would bring it back into the store if needed. Cust service apologized and told me they were ordering the rest of my rock. Approx another 10 days later,(all this time my customer is waiting) I get another email that my Rock is in. When I arrive, it's 4- 10lb bags( I've receivedabout 60lbs), so I'm still short. The cashier calls customer service and they say that I need to take up the issue with the manufacturer. I tell him Absolutely not, that I ordered through home depot and not the manufacturer and that THEY need to be the ones to resolve this with the manufacturer. I was told he would reach out to his supervisor and call me. I received a call this morning, another 9 days later stating they had 2- 10lb. Bags available for me to pickup. I'm STILL short. I call customer service and speak to them, the lady was extremely nice and apologized, but my only options are take the 2 bags they have now or cancel my order. I decided to cancel. I've been extremely patient, kind and understanding throughout this whole ordeal. She states they will refund me what I'm owed, (30lbs) and give me a discount for the bags I have received. My total refunded came to $26.00. About the price of 2 bags. So in the end, I still got completely ripped off. I've never felt so taken advantage of in my life. I suppose this is what happens when you're nice? Never...
