Went to dinner with some women in my neighborhood. The waiter accidentally spilled a FULL glass of water on one of the women in our party. It was an accident, we didn’t make a big deal. The service was slow, but we were staying busy chatting. The salads came, I had asked for a couple things be omitted from the salad. It was wrong, another salad had the wrong dressing, one didn’t get her salad that came with her meal. While delivering the salads the waiter told one of the ladies that they were out of mozzarella, so caprese (pizza) wasn’t happening. He didn’t bother to let her order anything else to replace her meal. Drinks were left empty. We had to flag him down for everything. By the time we were able to flag him down to ask about an entree to replace the caprese the rest of our entrees were out. We asked for our checks a few times. We got our checks and the person who got the water dumped on them (and was still wet after a few hours of being there) had received a 10% discount. Really? So a member of our party approached the manager and asked about it. He said ”I was the one who approved, she doesn’t have to get anything, it’s just water”. The lady then let him know our service hasn’t been that great, the manager then told her that “our service has been fine. “ The lady told him we wouldn’t be back. (Not because of the server, but the managers treatment) We all gave them our cards and checks for payment, he then came back and said, sorry the manager needs to adjust the checks and I need to reprint them. He came back and added 20% gratuity. Said parties 6 and over need 20% gratuity. (On their website it says parties of 7-20) We then asked for the managers name, our waiter told us there are 3. One person in our group asked the small one(there was a little language barrier, meaning younger one) and our waiter said, he’s a grown man. He’s not little. Then proceeded to throw all of our checks on the table. I was in the process of returning them to each person when the manager stormed over and told us to leave and that we had to go out the side exit. Get out and don’t come back. I stayed behind trying to get cards and he was yelling at me to get out, I asked if I could get my card. He said that’s your card isn’t it? I said actually no, they were all thrown at us and I’m still looking for mine. He continued to yell and tell us to get out, didn’t give us time to review our charges or even sign the receipt. I’ve NEVER been treated so poorly in my life. After getting home I noticed that they charged me for a side salad, which should have been included in my meal. My husband went over the next day and was told they would not be...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my visit here last Saturday night. There were 6 of us meeting for a celebratory dinner and most of us were from out of town. The restaurant was maybe 75% full, there were definitely some open tables. We ordered some appetizers, salads, spaghetti and meatballs, and 5 pizzas. The appetizers and drinks came out timely and were good. Everything was great up until this point.
There was a certain server or self proclaimed “water boy” who was quite annoying, awkward and extremely unprofessional. He decided to take on the personality of a pirate using pirate jargon, accent, and continued to tell us uninteresting pirate jokes while we were trying to enjoy our meal. It came to the point where we asked him not to come back to our table because he made us feel so uncomfortable and had such a poor professional attitude when dealing with paying customers. He might have thought he was being funny, but we were not amused. It took about 10 minutes for our salads to arrive which was fine, but literally 1 minute after we got our salads the spaghetti and meatball entree arrived. We ate our salads and then 5 minutes later the pizzas arrived when our salads were not even half finished. I made a comment to the waiter on how the timing could be better and he just walked away without saying anything. I asked the server for some extra sauce for the spaghetti and some for my pizza. We waited 10 minutes to only get sauce for my pizza, apparently extra sauce for the spaghetti was forgotten about.
The pizzas were great but the spaghetti and meatballs were a disaster. The meatballs were terrible, they had the flavor of dog food, and I have had better quality meatballs from an Army MRE. We told the server we did not like it and he just said “okay” and walked away. He did not apologize l, he didn’t ask if we wanted anything else, he didn’t clear any plates, he just walked away.
Overall the pizza is great, but I would avoid the meatballs like the plague. The service also left a lot to be desired. We felt ignored, forgotten about, and he did nothing to try and improve our experience, fix the timing problems and the spaghetti and meatballs entree. I may come back in the future, but will do take out...
Read moreI have been searching for great pizza since I moved to Utah 6 years ago from back East. I really dislike the "mountain style" pizza and only consider the NY style worthy of being called good pizza. I was really really hoping this would be my new pizza place. While it was better than any of the mountain styles I have had here, it wasn't quite NY style either. (Crust was so thin in middle it didn't support itself and falling apart) and my biggest grief wasn't the pizza itself but it was so expensive! I don't mind paying for quality, fresh ingredients, farm to table, supporting local, etc...but this was absurd. At a different price point, I would have been perfectly fine with what we had recieved...but paying closer to NY prices for what is considered a medium pizza (super thin crust 15 inch) at most places..... At $50, for two "large" NY style pizzas.... I really pictured near NY sized pies with large slices. We didn't have any of the fancy cured meats...one pie was vegetarian at $25 and other was basically cheese and garlic olive oil (basically cheese sticks) for $21. The small size of these pizzas felt like such a scam...we ate half a pizza and we're still hungry afterwards. A slice was smaller than my hands (pictured posted) and I have very small hands... You wouldn't even pay this much for two 15 inch pies in NYC or Long Island and this is in Riverton, Utah! There is not anything posted regarding actual sizes in inches on their website to clue you into what size you are getting into here at that price point.. So, I am not sure if I was charged for larges and they accidentally gave me mediums or if I truly received what I ordered. I really don't write negative review, but I did not see anywhere else to provide the feedback to manager/owner directly through the website. If this is truly the size of their pizzas...I can't see how anyone could afford to eat this pizza. Please tell me I'm wrong, I just got the wrong sizes and I'll pull this review. I really really wanted to like this place, it's near my work.. but it really did feel like...
