I am incredibly disheartened to write this review, but I believe it's important to share our terrible dining experience at The Original Pancake House in Riverton. My wife and I have had great expectations, being easy to please people, but our visit turned out to be nothing short of a disappointment.
Right from the beginning, the service was subpar. Our order was botched, leaving us baffled and hungry. We were not only charged for items we didn't order but also overcharged for the things we did. It was an unexpected and unwelcome surprise that caused unnecessary stress.
What's more, is that our plight seemed to be of no concern to the management. When we approached the manager about the issues, we were met with apparent indifference. We received no sincere apology nor any form of compensation, which was not only unprofessional but also offensive. It made us feel unvalued as customers and left a sour taste in our mouths that no amount of syrup could mask.
The lack of attention to detail was evident not only in the incorrect bill but also in the inadequate refilling of our beverages. We spent the majority of our mealtime staring at empty cups, further detracting from our overall dining experience.
Upon receiving the check, the first time, it wasn’t even ours. It was another tables- leading us to return it to the server, adding another layer to our evening of culinary chaos. The lack of organization and care for the patrons was deeply unsettling.
In conclusion, this was the most distressing dining experience we've ever had. The glaring flaws in service, management, and attention to detail have not only tarnished our meal but also deterred us from ever returning. If it were possible to rate this experience zero stars, I would do so without a second thought.
The Original Pancake House, I hope you take this review as constructive feedback and work towards improving the glaring issues we've highlighted. Customer satisfaction should be your top priority, and unfortunately, during our visit, it seemed...
Read moreObviously they have their B-Team working Monday morning. We were able to walk in and get seated right away, nice but not unexpected on a Monday around 10:30 to 11:00AM. We then had to wait around 10 minutes to be first talked to by our server. We waited for our drinks and watched the Hostess eat her mid morning snack of Lays Potato Chips over the rolled clean silverware while reading her book. We got our drink order taken, and waited for a while to get our drinks, but received one drink short. Then waited again to get our order taken, quite a long time again. The food came relatively quickly, but again it was midday on Monday, not the busiest. Then we fell into the common trap of the disappearing server, didn’t see her again until our check showed up. Then of course, true to form of the day, we actually had to wait almost 20 minutes to have the server come back to get our card for payment. The Riverton location is the most convenient for me, but I am not sure I will be back. This location has enough issues with the crazy construction around it, you would think they would attempt to have better service while dealing with...
Read moreWe've been here many times and it's usually a good experience. But this morning it was awful
I asked for 1 coffee and 3 waters, and our waiter forgot my water. When we eventually ordered i asked for the water again and splenda. He came back and gave my wife a coffee that wasnt asked for, and i did not get the water. That was fixed finally, but i ended up just grabbing splenda off another table. When i needed a coffee refill, we tried to get his attention, but ended up getting the attention of a COOK who saw us and told our waiter. When our food came out, I didnt even want to bother asking for cholula and ketchup because i knew we wouldn't see him for a while, so i grabbed those off another table too. Ive never left such a low tip before and considered not even leaving one. The table behind us had similar issues with coffee refills.
It seemed the waiter was more interested in hanging out with his work friends instead of helping the tables. By the way, we can hear all of the cursing and joking going on in the kitchen. Which normally i wouldn't care about, but with the whole experience just tack...
