The food there is always fresh. It's in an area with high traffic so they are almost always busy. Which is a great thing because who doesn't like fresh cooked food! At least we know it hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp.
I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the service wasn't on par with the food. It wasn't that they were too busy, we had 1 pair behind us no other people in line. Anyways, so the first guy made me feel rushed in what I wanted, and then hardly acknowledged that I was in a group clearly giving I was holding hands with one. He took my ordered and just stared like he was waiting for me to order the other food. They are people to, i dont know what they want right then. So i ended up walking down the line so he'd start taking the other orders.
At the end i wasn't asked if i needed anything else so when they rang me up for the food i mentioned the extra I'd like and i got a look from the cashier like 'really?' Do he stomped his way over and got the extra bits i had asked for. I didnt know i was ruining his whole day, I assumed it had been their routine to ask when we were paying or else I would have said it earlier.
We paid and sat down, only to realize he hadn't given us the sauce or anything to eat with. So we had to go back up and ask. My sister was the one that went up so I dont know how that went.
At any rate, people have bad days, so I'm not basing my whole experience just off today. They've always had great food and mostly friendly sorts. If you're looking for a quick bite this is the...
Read moreYeah reading other reviews it seems similar. I wish I would get the size of food that it looks like your other customers got even if it was incorrect because we seem to always get portions so small that we’re still hungry and we’re skinny. On top of that we never get accurate orders. Then by the time you add extras on everything on a bigger plate, it comes to $17… for a meal that does not fill you up. It’s ridiculous. The kids don’t ever ask you if you want sauce and I get that you don’t want to over give or waste sauce, luckily we do save because this happens often. If you wonder why your drive through is not always busy, it’s because it’s just not consistent and your portions are so all over the place at least when you’re inside if somebody is new and overly cautious about what they’re serving your customers if we feel it is too small we can make a comment but in the drive-through it is never accurate ! I don’t know if it’s lack of communication or understanding, but speed doesn’t matter if there’s inconsistency every time. We were not given a full meals, missing spring rolls, box of fortune cookies & sauce. I understand stuff happening occasionally but when it’s all the time you don’t go back, you go...
Read moreI just went here for the first time in years and got a Bigger Plate with 3x Grilled Teriyaki Chicken. The chicken was rubbery and didn't taste great, there was a piece of cartilage in it and the chow mein was low on flavor and overcooked to the point of being soft. Also, while eating I bit off the tips of two of the tines of the plastic fork they gave me, which is NOT a common occurrence for me. The entire experience reeked of cheapness. Next time I'll go to Mo Bettah's or Chipotle or something.
Speaking of Mo Bettah's, you can get roughly similar amounts of protein and calories at Panda Express -- by getting a "Bigger Plate" -- and Mo Bettah's -- by getting a Regular Plate, where it's $11.50 (pre-tax) at Panda Express and $13.99 at Mo Bettah's, meaning Panda Express costs roughly 82% what Mo Bettah's costs. Is it 82% the quality? If you've eaten at both of these places then you'll likely agree that Panda Express is NOT EVEN CLOSE to 82% the quality of Mo Bettah's. (A third of the quality, maybe?) So, Panda Express, unless you're willing to charge $13.99 / 3 = $4.37 for this food, then you're getting beaten by the industry and should probably stop. You're just filling valuable retail space,...
