Reason this is 3 stars and not 1 or 2 is I didn't actually go diving with them. I'm trying to be fair. The person on the phone (whose name I don't remember her giving me) told me to meet at 8:30 a.m. at the boat. Parking is a bit slim there, contrary to what she had told me. So it was about 8:35 when I walked up to the boat. I was told "We're not ready for you" And "We're making repairs to the boat". No Hello or Good Morning.
It was just beginning to rain, but instead of suggesting I wait in their facility, I was told nothing more. I don't know if they have a shop, or anywhere for divers to assemble or do classroom training. Maybe they don't do cert. Instead of standing around in the rain I went back to my truck and waited. I called to check on alternatives and found a trip with another company going out early afternoon. I was just about to leave when the woman called then appeared. By that time I had pretty much moved on. Seemed to me that I would not enjoy a few hours with them. I'm not naive - I know almost all boats are under constant states of repair, but I still didn't like getting an annoyed "we're not ready" plus an excuse, without even a...
Read moreI can’t say enough great things about Vicki and Sandy! These are the ladies to dive with, for sure!
I contacted them about a month ago, as I was researching a place to finish my certification. Vicki was attentive, patient, and answered all my questions! They were also reasonably priced!
The very good news is, I successfully finished my certification,,, and got to see sea turtles and sharks, which was amazing!!! The bad news is, the first day, I got terribly sea sick, which has never happened to me before. (To no fault of Vicki or Sandy.) Vicki and Sandy (and everyone else on the boat) for the kindest people… not just human kind… like, Mama Kind! I felt so bad for getting sick, and physically sick, but they took care of me, they were sympathetic, and I felt cared about. That tells me everything I need to know about the human beings Sandy and Vicki are- and for that reason- I will always dive with them when I am down here!
I can’t wait for my next diving adventure with Sandy and Vicki! If you are unsure of who to dive with, look no further- this is the perfect duo! I learned, I had fun, and they even have good snacks!!! Choose Ocean...
Read moreOn all of the dive charters I was on, we had to stay in one general group. On this dive, we all went in together, then everyone went their own way. The boat was not anchored and was hundreds of yards away when we surfaced. We were supplied with a blow up signal device, however it took some time for them to spot us as the boat was moving away from us. After several minutes we were picked.up Then my daughter spotted another signal and then we picked them up. This went on for some time picking up two and three different groups of divers. No towable diver flags were supplied to us. The last person to pick up was their diver and he did have a flag. We were in open water with boat traffic. This is totally unacceptable regardless of how good the diving was. You owe it to your customers to be more safety conscious and for them to be more visible when on the surface, after all you are a...
