CVS Pharmacy — Local services in Roanoke Island

They are short handed, and alot of new employees, so be patient as I know there learning the system, friendliness and patience can go along way, especially if you want the same in return.. but upfront customer service does the best they can to assist you, the manager Mr.Doug always helpful, knows most that come in and is always asking how the customers are,, just giving small town friendly,caring service.. Aiden a high school student is one of the sweetest helpful young men I've met working here, always a big smile and so patient with me as I go thru all my coupons..but I can say all the cashiers upfront I've been waited on by..are always friendly and most know you by face and take time to ask how you are.. there friendliness is what you hope for in a small town...depending on the time of day your there the pharmacy can be really busy, but there is standout employees who I say are empathetic, kind and helpful doing all they can to get your medications to you promptly, Haylie" I mention because she has always been so kind and helpful and the pharmacy manager Mrs.Thompson has went above and beyond especially in the last year when I know its been more hectic.. thank you.. and yes.. there has been times when others "name's unsaid" have made picking up my medications each month a dreaded chore, and it shouldn't cause panic attacks (which I have had depending on who is talking or waiting on me in this pharmacy in Manteo, but I've learned its not only here but everywhere) what a shame, so now I just encourage those who may go thru something similar to advocate for yourself.. but to the others who are empathetic and do their job with kindness, I appreciate your help and thank-you.. The CVS does have a great online site for earning money towards purchases and coupons for saving on your shopping and it is definitely worth doing.. I've saved so much...

The pharmacy is pretty good. Nice people. But the store is very overpriced, understaffed and the manager I met was unfriendly. I politely pointed out that I was double charged for something, which he contested. I had to pull out my bag to PROVE I hadn't gotten 2 of the item. The "self-checkout is horrible.
