A Little Bit Hippy — Local services in Roanoke

Update** Haley helped me directly did everything to resolve the issue, I really appreciate everything they did and even went above and beyond. I will still be making my special trips to visit A Little Bit Hippy when I go see my sister!

I’m giving a 4 star review because I adore this store, I’m from chicago, I make the effort to come into the store whenever I come to visit my sister in Roanoke. But a recent visit I spent over $350 in the store. I was double charged on an almost $50 item and I went back to the store right away the same day and was told I could only get a store credit or take the item I was charged for. I didn’t need two of the same item, I didn’t need a gift card, I treated myself for my visit and I was leaving the next day to go back to Chicago. This was not my fault and I wish it could have been handled better and the store employee to see if they could’ve done more for...

My friends and I used to really enjoy coming to A Little Bit Hippy every now and then and browse and sometimes buy some items. This place lately though has sort of a corporate feel to it rather than a small town store and it's got an uncomfortable vibe now. Also I don't think these guys are real hippies. They just dress like them. Real hippies are all about Love, giving out hugs and kisses, loving the environment, etc. I offered a hug to one of the ladies here on my last visit and she said "that's okay" and totally rejected my hug. Wow... since when do girls reject other girls hugs? Weird... I've also been researching and can't find a single organization that A Little Bit Hippy supports that helps the environment. I love this little gem in Roanoke! This store has a fantastic vibe to it, despite the critiques, I don't think it feels "corporate" or "creepy" in the least! The owner hand-selects the products she brings into the store. The employees are all knowledgeable about the products and if they don't know, they ask. If you're into crystals & incense, this is the store for you! If you're into tye-dye and unusual clothing items, this is the store for you! If you're into the Grateful Dead and VW's, this is the store for you! If you like jewelry from afar or from local craftspeople, this is the store for you! If you like to be happy, make others happy, and feel good about supporting a small, local business, this is the store for you!
