Wow! I will give 1 star and appreciate the responsiveness of the staff but man I cannot recommend renting through here.
From start to finish my wife and I had issues. The order needed to be checked 4 times to make sure it was right before the tuxes came in. Once we got them more than half needed to be altered or reordered. One coat was destroyed and had an old sock and rotting flower in the pocket! Even asking for alterations they didn't fix the issues. One coat had uneven sleeves that were noticeable. Pants were so short we all looked like we were prepping for a flood. Shirt sleeves so long they were HANGING out of the coat. Coat sleeves so short on one guy it looked like a 3/4 sleeve. Buttons popping off coats and cufflinks breaking as we were trying to just stick them through the cuff. I could keep going. They even sent me the wrong size shoes and without checking after I said they felt really small, I was told "you need to break them in, they are brand new." There was nothing new about the shoes. There was stitching hanging out of the bottom and they were two sizes too small.
I don't know who was having a bad day when they were packing our suits up but it was a literal **-show trying to get everything fixed and then have more stuff break during the ceremony and reception!
Safe to say, I am never going to have another bad experience with them because I refuse to return and spend...
Read moreA family member of mine had passed on a Sunday, and I found myself in need of a new suit as soon as possible. I made an appointment at Jos A. Bank for Tuesday, knowing that that might be cutting it close. During the day on Monday, I explained my situation, and Shirley said she could fit me in that day after school. I was in the store for 20 minutes. In that time, I was fitted for an entire suit (shoes included), and I am extremely happy with the fit. They understood my situation and offered to have the suit ready on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I had an after-school commitment that ran until 8pm. I only had a little bit of time to get to the store and then get right back to school. The suit was not yet in the store, but it would be in an hour or so. Because I wouldn't be able to drive back, someone there offered to drive it out to my school at no additional cost, where I met him around 7pm. This store exemplifies modern customer service, and I hope other businesses can follow their example.
Also, COVID-19 protocol is spot-on. I did not feel nervous at all that I could contract the virus...
Read moreHad a challenging time fitting my 11 year old for his tux, due to his being in between sizes. Had to make 2 visits in hopes that someone there would find a solution. The employee who measured him said there were no options for sleeve length and pants. I was frustrated. When it arrived it was not the best fit but I didn't think we had any options. Then Tyrone took one look at him and said he was not happy. He made sure to fix all the issues the same day, so we didn't have to make another trip out. We are so happy he was there when we picked up! Tyrone made our bridal party's experience positive! He has the right expertise for what he does! If not for him, would probably have given 2 stars. Thank you, Tyrone. 🙏
On a side note... Joseph A Bank, you need a better system for a kid's tux. There should be actual alterations made so kid's don't look sloppy. Also, the vest was broken but we had no other option than...
