I used to be a fan of this company when my children were younger. They had great sakes on children clothes and quality suites that my hubby often bought for work. They did the fitting in the store with custom tailoring. However, those daycare long gone. Only off the rack suites now, no fitting or even staff available in the men's department. As for the children ware, it's much more expensive then other stores. They do have sales if you want to play that game of waiting and watching. I recently made an online purchase, it's unavailable at the local store. They shipped then wrong size items. 😑. My only option was to return. I went to the physical store to return, thinking maybe there would be something similar at the location. Sadly no. My biggest complaint it's how unaccessible the store now is for returns for handicap individuals. The return area is located in the home section- by the East entrance. That entrance is now closed. I drive to the next closest- South entrance. It too is now closed and ONLY an emergency fire exit. What?? These are the ONLY two entrance locations with handicapped parking nearby. My ONLY option is the main mall entrance or the NORTH entrance. The opposite end of the store for the return. It took me so long to get there. Managed to quickly get my return. When I questioned why there were no handicapped entrances- I was told they were closed as we need to monitor shoplifting more closely. That can only be done with the other two entrances. Again WHAT? I'm speechless. You removed access for hsndicap people because it's more convenient for store shoplifers and easier for JC Penny employees. I don't matter and neither do other handicapped persons. Wow.
I received my refund and left- no additional shipping will be done. I will spend my money at a store that values me. Nope- will not be back and I hope with policies and procedures like this they will go out of business as this is NOT the type of store we need in Rochester. Handicapped...
Read moreI always have a great shopping experience at the Apache Mall JCPenneys in Rochester, MN, and yesterday's trip was the very best. My mom needed some new slacks, as hers were too large. She was sceptical that she would not be able to find what she wanted, but I shop for her clothing gifts there. We walked in to the store from the main entrance. I looked around and wondered where the petite ladies' clothing was. It's a big store. O walked up to the front cash register and asked Cadence where the Petite section was. She shared good information and showed us where to go. We got down there and my mom and dad started looking. I scanned the area, but I didn't see what we needed. I asked another employee, Tara, for help, and she came down to where we were looking. Tara asked my mom was was she looking for and showed her some possibilities. My mother tried on, a tulip cap sleeved blouse with a pair of capris and they perfectly fit her. My mom loved them. While we were gone, Tara had rounded up two other pair of slacks. We took them with idea that we could return them, but they also fit perfectly. My mom agreed that this trip was the fastest, yet best shopping trip ever. We both recommend this JCPenneys store if you're in...
Read moreFunny you should ask. I have been a Penny's shoppers since early 70s and my grown up daughters have kept me in what dress shirts and pants I need. I went shopping today and have not been in Rochester Penny's for 10 plus years but have to now that Winona MN is closed. I could not believe how torn up the place was today. People after looking piles of jeans left them a mess. No one was straightening out, Just young Somolian girls working, a young man did ask if I needed anything and I need a 38/32 jeans and there were non in the styles I was interested in. He said check the big and tall well I am no to a big and tall size. Too many kids working. I understand it is hard to find help let alone good help. I really am struggling with where to find a place to shop where I feel good and I feel people care. Macy's was not any better as there was no staff there at all. I am not a shoppers and like a little help and like when store workers tell me, aaa that's does not look, let's try something else. Penny's back in the day had that in Rochester. But the good thing is I got my Golden Toes socks which are amazing. I don't need an email everyday from Penny's so please don't place me on your text, email or any list. I...
