What a pleasant surprise and find! I was taking the Self-Guided Walking Tour of Rock springs when I came across the Community Fine Arts Center. Having been a former Church, I thought I would see crayon drawings and 3D macaroni artworks depicting the Wild West. I was wrong (and I am a guy admitting that) In a pleasant and well lit space, there were more paintings and artworks then I could have ever imagined. There is a Norman Rockwell and a Grandma Moses as well as other Artists of renown. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I spoke to Deborah, the Director, and was impressed by her familiarity with the collection as well as her knowledge of the town. She directed me to other "things to see" in Rock Springs, making my visit well worth the stop. If you want to be impressed, slightly awed and thoroughly entertained, STOP HERE and spend some time.
