Because for one i have many reasons and how can you summon 5 to 8 monsters in one turn and its the same people there that have the same cards and its the same people winning every time and i hate that you have to bring $1 dollar every saturday and $5 dollars for every sunday just to play in the tournaments and how can you own a shop with your adult children there getting all of the good cards while newbies get sucky cards and it says no food and drink in the room but the owners adult children brings it in anyway and not only does the store owner has every single card she claims she needs cards she doesnt have and so she needs to sell or trade them to players and while her adult children gets all good and im old school with the dueling. Never have i heard of pendulum summon ever and its a rip off of a shop and the tournaments i dont like cheating. And cheaters and lastly EITHER YOU PLAY RIGHT AND HAVE LOTS OF PLAYERS THERE OR NOT AT ALL because the first series of YUGIOH IS WAY BETTER THAN WHATEVER I'VE EXPERIENCED AT THE ROBINS NEST AND PLEASE HELP FIND A BETTER CARD SHOP WITH BETTER TOURNAMENTS AND NOT THE SAME PEOPLE ALL THE TIME and on another note there was no old school dueling at all and basically they on know all of your cards before you after you place them down and they have 3 of the same cards of most in their deck which totally is not cool trying to activate 3 card effects at the same time to summon 5 to 7 monsters in one turn In YUGIOH HISTORY NEVER YOU'VE BEEN ABLE TO SUMMON THAT MANY CARDS AT THE SAME TIME INCLUDING...
Read moreGreat selection, mediocre prices, poor service. I've been coming for a few years off and on, and really wanted to give them a higher review because they definitely do some things right. I appreciate that you can actually dig through most boxes of cards, it's better than other local card shops where you have to constantly look through their website. They also have a great selection, depending on what you're looking for. Many old school Pokemon and Magic cards, a good amount of harder to find stuff.
Where they go wrong are prices and service. Their prices aren't always bad, sometimes they're great, but it's very inconsistent. The problem is that they use ebay to price everything, which is fair, but they don't look up ebay sold listings. They just look up current listings. In many cases this leads to inflated prices, because they're looking at inflated ebay prices, not what the cards are actually selling for. They also totally disregard the prices that are already on their cards. You see a Magic card for 20? Wrong, they will look it up before they sell it and the price may have gone up. Very, very misleading, it would be better to just not price them at all.
Finally, service. While the lady can be fairly nice, the other guys have the worst attitude. Bad phone manners, impolite, no thank you, no welcome when you walk in. For such a small shop that depends on local business, you'd think they'd take politeness and customer...
Read moreHaven't visited Robin's Nest since childhood,i always remembered how nice the people were in the shop and the overall experience used to be great!...Made the decision to come in to try and sell a few of my cards from my collection and was greeted by some horrendous customer service by a younger 'not-so' gentleman when I walked up to him to initiate a quote for my cards i brought in. My presence was apparently not worth any eye contact and I was shoo'd away towards who i assume is an owner/manager. The lady was very sweet and kind when looking over my cards and we did not come out with a deal, which is more than okay! As my wife and I were browsing their selection,we overheard the harsh employee in the corner continuing to be openly rude to another potential patron of the store. This has soured the whole entire experience for us and we will probably never come back into the store. Buyers beware if you are looking for a...
