My young adult boys and I love this bookstore. There are always great books to find, like this one that shows the women of Maine lobstering, which includes a high school friend of mine. The socks and jewelry are wonderful gems that are not anywhere else in the area. The children's section includes fun and educational toys, along with popular books. There are also puzzles, gifts and much more! I rarely leave without something, so I highly recommend this store. And the staff is just the icing on the cake, so to speak. This is a wonderful little bookshop with many books and deals. We are from Northern Maine and came down for a getaway and love supporting small business. We went in to get books for everyone in the family. While there my two year old had a little meltdown and was crying. You could tell the lady checking people out was irritated by this and was quite short and nasty towards me during the checkout process. I wasn't sure about the location at first. I like to drive to different cities to be able to walk up to different bookshops while strolling downtown. This bookstore is behind a rather busy drive through. I have to say that the space inside trumps the location. The store is large, with clean bathrooms. The selection of books is huge.
