Visited this store on August 8th because my phone was giving a sim error. I went in to see what the problem was and planned on purchasing an upgrade. The young woman told me that the model I had was having issues with the antenna not connecting. Then she said to replace the sim it would be $10 so that’s what she was going to do. I asked her about specials on upgrades and she informed me that I still owe on my current phone so it’s best to just replace the sim because that’s cheaper. I already knew the amount I owed and was willing to pay, but she proceeded to argue with me so I told her to just replace the sim. She came back and replaced the sim. While waiting on her to finish a male associate came out to witness the transaction. As I paid I asked for other Verizon stores in the area. They named a few and I told them I would try one of them to purchase a new phone. He replied,”They’re going to tell you the same thing we did.” I then told him that I have been with Verizon for years and know how it works and I was willing to pay off the amount and purchase a new phone. I don’t believe the young woman was truthful when she went back to get him. My phone gave the same error a few days later on August 11th. It ended up costing me $50 a month and then I had to pay $300 for it. I really got taken. Just today I thought I would give my wife a new google pixel for Christmas so I checked MY Verizon to upgrade. This store on Murrell Rd has changed the service on my wife's 5 year old flip phone. I didn't know it but I have been paying for the phone she got for free many years ago and they want me to pay $104 on top of the new phone price to upgrade.
