August 28th, I was thoroughly disappointed with the service I received from Barista Erin. I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha iced coffee with 8 pumps of white chocolate. The original Barista passed my cup to Erin to make. She made the iced coffee and as she handed it to me, told me to give it a stir. I thought that was an interesting response considering it has never been given to me in the manner to which you could see the syrup sitting directly at the bottom of the cup. So, I stirred my coffee and left in usual fashion. I took a sip and thought that it didn't taste as if it had the correct amount of syrup. I took out my receipt and called the store. I explained that I had just left the store, repeated my order, and stated that the drink didn't taste the way I wanted. Erin rather rudely informed me that she made the drink and she knows she added eight pumps. She then said "I graduated from Sesame Street numbers. I added eight pumps like 1....2....3........" and her voice trailed off. I asked if I could just have the drink replaced and she said I could come back. I told her I was almost to my next destination and as soon as I was finished, I would bring the drink back. Upon returning to the store, Erin came from out of the back room and did not greet me as she walked right past me. The other Barista asked if Erin had taken my order to which Erin insisted the other Barista (I did not catch her name or take a look at her nametag as I had to do to identify Erin) to take care of me. I simply asked if I could instead just have the iced coffee as a frappuccino instead considering I was highly disappointed in the taste. She took care of me and once again Erin made my drink. Upon finishing, she handed me the drink and snidely said "I hope this drink is better for you." My issue is, as a fellow customer service worker, how Erin handled the situation. Erin took a defensive and argumentative position when I called to ask if the problem could be corrected. Furthermore, I felt offended that she would insinuate I was lying instead of offering to satisfy the scenario. I frequent this store more than any other (and I live in Titusville). I love Starbucks and have always been satisfied upon my departure from the location. Today left me feeling offended, disappointed, and contemplating never coming to this...
Read moreWe ordered 2 large Cambros this past Friday for our wedding. Literally two people got coffee out of this before thinking it was empty because the workers didn’t inform our server (who picked up the coffee) that it needed to be vented from the top and they were placed on a large bar where the top wasn’t visible. The next day before returning them, we opened them and discovered they were full to the brim, $150 worth of coffee- wasted.
Okay, I get this kind of thing happens, but we wanted to let the manager know that they should probably inform their customers in this situation of the vent so this doesn’t happen again. The manager could not have cared less. To be clear here, we were not looking for any kind of monetary compensation. Just trying to tell her how disappointing it was and that we would hate for it to happen to other people. She gave us about 20 seconds of her time where she told us how a vent works and asked if we wanted a bag of holiday roast. Zero acknowledgement that this should be something they inform people when picking these up and not even a sincere apology that we wasted $150 on coffee that no one enjoyed.
Honestly, we are big time Starbucks drinkers and have always had great experiences (my husband worked for them years ago) but this definitely gave me a bad taste in my mouth for this...
Read moreExcellent shop - has a good vibe. Really best for picking up coffee ordered ahead of time but it does have some nice, cute seating options. My drink was incorrect initially but the barista called me up to give me a status on it of her remaking it. I was there during a very busy morning rush. When it was ready she called me back up after I'd sat down because she wasn't absolutely sure it has the correct alternative milk. Luckily, I didn't need the milk alternative and most importantly, I really appreciated that she was thoughtful and attentive enough to prevent me from potentially getting sick. I've been a barista in high volume coffee shops so I can tell you that mistakes like this so just sort of happen from time to time; but, not many baristas own and try to correct their mistake. That's a sign of a good Starbucks to me - the staff must feel comfortable and safe enough to get orders correct and tasty instead of only worrying about getting them out the door. COVID WARNING: There is no siding in line, most folks do not wear masks, the tables are not wiped between patrons, and most of the seating inside is fairly close to others. Luckily there is outdoor seating that is comfortable and spaced more appropriately, just make sure to bring your own wipes to wipe...
