My husband and myself decided to try this small establishment a few days ago for breakfast (love the idea of supporting a small business) upon entering we were greeted by a friendly staff member. Very nice and clean atmosphere, love the decor and the home feeling. We were sat down and received our menus. Placed our order and it came out surprisingly fast. I ordered French toast with eggs(scrabbled) and bacon my husband ordered eggs (scrambled)with cheese, with sausage with homefries with a biscuit and gravy. And a side of pancakes.
French toast was very mediocre nothing super special bacon was flimsy and seemed like it had been sitting awhile. Now the eggs weren't even edible they weren't good at all. Husband's home fries had no flavor very bland. And he also agreed with the eggs not good at all. Sausage was good along with the pancakes. I will add the biscuit and gravy was definitely one of the Best we have tasted around town. Bill was almost $40.00 for breakfast. Kinda ridiculous. Once done and ready to pay I asked if the eggs are "real" and he replied "Yes" I decided to let him know the eggs weren't good at all. Definitely taste like "Liquid" eggs. He stated he has been receiving that comment all morning. Yet we were still charged for the eggs including the cheese (That weren't consumed) I want this to be an honest review of our experience. Overall this was a nice establishment but the food just isn't up to par. I'm hoping my review is read by the owner and or upper management to help better satisfy the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Country Cookin Diner in Rockledge, and I must say, it was one of the best dinners I've enjoyed in a long time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a hearty meal.
I opted for the corned beef hash, which was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly seasoned and paired wonderfully with the crispy hash browns and fluffy scrambled eggs. The portion size was generous, ensuring I left feeling satisfied. I also had the choice of toast or a biscuit, and I went with the biscuit, which was soft and buttery.
My son ordered the chocolate chip pancake, and I was blown away by its size! It was extra-large and incredibly flavorful—definitely a hit with him.
Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I can confidently say that Country Cookin Diner will be my go-to restaurant whenever I'm in Rockledge. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comforting and...
Read moreThis was a great find while we were on vacation in Rockledge Florida! We always like to find mom & pop restaurants so we can help support the local folks. We stopped in for breakfast and was very impressed with the staff who greeted us as if we'd been coming there for years. Our server Hope was a very sweet young lady who was quick to make sure we got some much needed coffee and juice, she then made some menu suggestions that I decided to take her up on. The food was cooked to order and steaming hot when it was delivered which is usually not the case in most breakfast places. I ordered the waffle with a side of hash browns loaded and bacon. Every single item was cooked perfect and their portions are big. Price was excellent, you definitely get your moneys worth! If you are in the area (we stayed at The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club) and can stop by to eat I highly recommend...
