I visited this location because my 2023 Ford Maverick Hybrid was experiencing serious issues and felt unsafe to drive. After explaining the situation, I was told the problem sounded like a faulty battery, something I've already had replaced at this exact location in the past. In fact, I even returned the tools that were accidentally left in my truck from the previous battery exchange in the same truck.

This time, however, I was told they couldn’t replace the battery because my vehicle is a hybrid. It’s frustrating and confusing that Autozone has serviced it twice without issue, but now suddenly refuses, even when I made it clear the vehicle was not safe to operate when I entered the building.

My truck was accelerating on its own while in drive well beyond normal idle speed. The only reason I took the risk to drive it there was because the shop is just across the street from my neighborhood and figured the issue was a battery issue again. The battery system test did fail and thankfully I did at least receive a replacement battery.

Last thing, smoking a cigarette and taking that last drag before putting it out by the entrance of your store is awful. Please stay away from people for a few minutes as nobody wants to smell that disgusting trash coming out of your mouth, especially at the entrance of your location. This place sucks! I will NEVER NEVER stop in here again. Just this past week my car battery was dying so I stopped in 15 mins before the store was closing and my greeting from the night manger was, "Over here" as he was very aggravated that I had waked in at 8:45 PM....OH I"M SORRY I GUESS YOU STOP SERVING CUSTOMERS 15 MINS BEFORE CLOSING! Were my thoughts. I told the man who I think his name was Dan or Dave or something and it said assistant manager on his tag I needed a battery my car was dying. Oh I think I forgot to mention I was alone with my very young daughter. The kid who was working in there came out to see my battery and walked back inside only to come back out and look me in the eye and say, "I'm sorry but we are not allowed to take 45 mins to change a battery." WHAT!!!!!! Are you kidding me right now. Who the hell takes 45 mins to change a battery!?!? WOW. So as I am on the phone crying trying to find help because these JERKS wouldn't do it the old gray head manager comes out and walks right past me not even caring that I am upset and alone. I was able to get my car started again and told them they could keep their battery. Discount got my money the very next day! Let me tell you, that AutoZone in Rockledge Florida on Murrell is so amazing, I can't even put it in to words! I went there on October 10, feeling mighty bad, I'm a breast cancer patient, and I had just went to get an oil change from the dealer, when they told me a ton of stuff that my car needed, but I couldn't afford to get done right away. It's hot as the Dickens outside, so I decided to stop in to AutoZone to see if the filters to my car we're economical, then I could get someone to put them in for me. Well, 'Joe P' who is an associate that works there appeared, guessing he could sense my illness and frustration, jumps into action an showed me the right filter's and volunteered to go outside and put them on for me. That guy was such an amazing person, and went above and beyond to help me. He definitely deserves some recognition for his treatment of his guest that comes in the store and a big fat raise! I offered to give him a few dollars, which he refused, and just told me to be safe and he was glad to help.
