During my recent shopping trip to Five Below with my 5 year old child, I encountered an unpleasant experience. Despite my daughter's fondness for the store, I felt uneasy due to the lack of visible identifiable employee attire among the employees. This made it difficult for me to distinguish between genuine associates and potential threats as they constantly watched us and followed us around the store, causing unnecessary discomfort. Furthermore, at the self-checkout, a staff member thoroughly scanned all my items, took payment, and made me feel untrusted. This defeats the purpose of self- checkout and left a negative impression. Read moreEmployees are rude. I was standing in line waiting to pay. When a register was free I walked up to pay for my things. As I’m scanning the item I hear someone ask “Are you paying with cash or card?” I look up to see if they were talking to me. It was an employee. I stated yes. She says “its not self checkout. That’s why I’m standing over here.” With an attitude and rolled her eyes. She was standing with another customer at another register. I noticed this but assumed she was helping them. Mind you there was a man in front of me that went to the register next to her. He scanned his things, paid and left. She did not say anything to him. Read moreThis place is horrible. I placed an online order for pick up and they wanted six hours to get it ready which was fine. I waited eight hours and never got a confirmation. Waited until the next day when I finally had to visit the store to find out where my order is. They had never even pulled it. And then when they went looking for the things I ordered most of them were no longer there. They had already sold out. The tumblers I ordered had eight in stock when I placed the order so I ended up getting none. To save myself a trip to the store I tried calling three times but of course it said all of the associates were busy wowing customers. So never got an answer there either....
