Bad customer service and tried to over charge for items not received. Jacob S is the employee I delt with.
I went in to purchase a Mac mini and a keyboard and I asked specifically if they honored online prices and they stated they would. I let the girl know that I could get the Mac mini for $499 online wanted to purchase, I asking a second time if they honored online prices and both her and Jacob S agreed that they would. They rang me up for the mac mini and a keyboard. No where could I see the prices until I received the receipt. I was charged $599 for the Mac mini and $129 for a keyboard. I said to the girl I thought you could honor the $499 price online and she said that $599 is the price online. Jacob popped up stating the price was $599 and I said fine I would order one online then and wanted to return the Mac mini and keep the keyboard. Jacob went over to help the girl who rang me up. They provided me a receipt refunding me $539.16. I paused and said I dont think this is right. I asked to see the original receipt and Jacob picked it up and slapped it on the counter annoyed. I said if you use a calculator you will see that the numbers are off and Jacob started off saying he didn't need a calculator that all they do is remove it from the order and hit save the computer does the rest. I said but the amount is wrong and he should che k the amounts then told me I needed to calm down. Because of his attitude I no longer wanted to do business with this company so I wanted to return the keyboard, while waiting Jacob continued to smart off comments and say that he wasn't being rude when clearly he was. After refunding me $141.26 for the key board it still didn't add up to the $797 charge. Jacob continued to argue with me that everything was right and I was wrong so I pulled out my phone to do the math for him to see he was wrong. He finally took it back to a Manager anf discovered that when Jacob went to refund the Mac mini he charged me for a second keyboard. He came back saying they figured it out and refunded me for the second keyboard and didn't bother to apologize for his attitude or for being wrong and over charging me.
None of this would have happened if they would have stated the higher price or had a way for me to see the price before payment. Jacobs attitude only escalated things as well. I will not do business here and the company i work for will no longer do business...
Read moreTook my iPad to get it replaced. They sold me an iPad that is stuck on a cycle where we can’t even use it paid over $500 for iPad that doesn’t even work. I’ve gone up there to talk to them many times they just tell me that I have to contact Apple Apple refuses to help us because we purchased the iPad from them. They’re refusing to help us so we’re just out of $500 they kick my husband out and refused to help him but we’re still out of $500 right is right and wrong is wrong. They kept my other device, refurbished it, and made money off of it and still they will not give us a replacement for the one they gave us that is stuck on the cycle. You guys sold us an iPad that doesn’t work and it’s not fair that now you guys are giving us the cold shoulder and not willing to help. Can’t even get a refund back, very unfair and upsetting been trying to get this sorted out since October and no luck. Do not recommend this place.
Update: took the iPad to HG cellular in Springdale and they informed me that there isn't anything they can do or anyone else can do to help make the iPad work because the iPad was sold to me with a circuit board problem. Megabyte wasn't interesting in trying to figure out what was wrong with the iPad they just said to call apple, if they had maybe taken to time to investigate they would have found the Circuit board problem like HG cellular did, but instead they kept telling me to call Apple and talk to someone on the phone that can't physically touch or get there hands on the iPad to investigate what is going on, there is only so much trouble shooting that can be done over the phone, seems like I have a nice $500 paper weight, lucky me :)
Its funny that you want to imply that we took it home working, it never worked we were never able to log in or get past the iCloud log in screen, we called immediately to inform y'all about what was going on. If you really care you would have reached out by phone to get this matter resolved...
Read moreI had a MacBook I needed to get looked at because there was a recurring problem of the screen flashing after periods of long use. Being an online student, I'm on my MacBook a lot and needed it fixed soon before winter break ended. Was pleased with my service because unlike Simply Mac who seems to never answer their phone, Megabyte answered on my first attempted phone call. It took only 4 days for them to fix it, which consisted of them replacing the entire top half of the Macbook, and I got it back before break ended. Simply Mac would just tell me "it'll take like a month" "we aren't accepting repairs right now". Drove to Simply Mac twice from Fayetteville for absolutely no reason because both times they said to come back later or call and they hardly ever answer anyway. Drove to Megabyte once to drop off and once to pick up. Very fast and friendly. My one and only complaint is that they did not call me within 24 hours like they said they would after they did diagnostics on my MacBook, but since I had Apple Care to cover it anyway that didn't really matter since I didn't need a price quote.
